Machine games did great with Wolfenstein, very curious to see how they do here. I can only assume it will be 3rd person, so it is quite a change from their last couple games as a studio. Also wonder if this is going to be MS exclusive?
Eh, IDK about Returnal personally, but I am 100% sure R&C is going to be amazing. the remake was one of my favorite games of the whole PS4 gen, definitely not seeing Returnal as even near the same realm, but that is just my opinion obviously.
@abizzle I really enjoyed Until Dawn and Detroit last gen, and neither of those had superb voice acting or gameplay, so I forsee liking this too, so long as it at least has a solid narrative and/or horror vibe that keep me enjoying it, which it seems fine based on the footage.
Narrative seems solid, gameplay seems boring, IMO. I will prob play it with that expactation.
Same boat, I don't have the weird hate for Tomb Raider as some above, but Greedfall looks solid. I am excited to give it a go. Maneater looks like a decent hour of fun and never play again, which is fine by me for a free game. Not a bad month at all.
So, IDK how they are capturing, but even factoring in Youtube compression, this video looks poorly representative on PS5. (and I assume XSX) Very bad colors and Contrast added onto the noise from compression and it just looks bad.

They need to just release Destiny 3, it is too bloated and confusing to start now for me. Maybe I am wrong, but I have looked into starting back on PS5 multiple times.

Yea, quality mode for me also, looked great and 30FPS was fine TBH. For me consistent framerate is actually just as important. 60FPS but with multiple consecutive frame drops, even when rare, is more annoying to me than a perfect 30fps. (that said all modes in MM and SM:R appear to run very well)
Also, comparing any game technically to Insomniac's SM is honestly just unfair, game is impressive.
Insomniac isn't a Sony studio are they?
But seriously, isn't it a bit early to say, all we know for sure are of Major First party games are:
PS5 - Horizon, GOW, R&C
XSX - Halo and Flight Simulator port
Not sure anything else has a confirmed launch or am I missing it?
Elder scrolls online is great, but not my cup of tea, but Fallout 76 was terrible (probably still is) so I am going to hold my excitement for now for anything Zenimax/Bethesda related in the online realm. I am looking forward to most of the other Zenimax/Bethesda games more than this TBH.
TBH the marketing and Keanu are big factors into why the game sold so well and was so publicly known. I agree it sucks that marketing and big faces affect a games success more or even equally to it being a good game, but it is what it is. The majority of casual gamers are swayed by that.
I mean, I am no IGN apologist, but I see no contradiction in those 2 statements. There can be games announced and upcoming, but still be a need for games currently.
I will say, I miss built-in LFG finding games with people with mics on PS5 is basically impossible via matchmaking. That and I prefer the Xbox controller (mainly due to the stick placement) so considering buying the XB1 back, but hard to justify buying the console with worse performing 3rd party games only to play 3rd party games.
It is a year out, those are normal and common parts of optimization. This game looks pretty amazing TBH. Comment like this are why we get CGI trailers because people are too stupid to understand what "in-progress" builds look like. So annoying.
Honestly MS need something big to show, especially if Sony show something big. If Sony shows up big and MS fizzles, on top of Sony already having a much better line-up currently, it is going to be a bad look.
If we are being honest, I think the reason these rumors are coming around isn't because they are true really, but because the fans really want to see what MS has to offer. Many assuming the lack of content would be slightly offset by 1 or 2 surprise announcements. ...
I'm fine with it, but they better not delay R&C that game looks absolutely amazing and the remake was 10/10 for me so been waiting on the next release.
So like Deathloop, Kena, FFVII remake, stray, oddworld, Ghostwire, etc, etc, etc? With a few on that list coming to PC day and date.
