What do they expect people to think though, not EA but in general? When some devs are giving parity to the games simply to "avoid debate" as quoted by ubisoft.
No, not really. Just as long as they are taking advantage of each consoles hardware strengths is fine. I think that is all people really want.
It just weird to me that they would state that the reason for parity was to keep people from arguing. They were quoted saying that and people are still arguing over the reason for parity.
If PS4's GPU can push for more assets in other areas then let it! We already know that the PS4's CPU was found to function better when tests were done and it can be overclocked greatly. The PS4 should be able to push for more, it's just ridiculous to debate otherwise.

Is this a troll account? Seriously.
Seriously, why is this game bombing so bad in reviews? It looks fun, the club aspect seems cool, it looks like a good game... And obviously the realism is off the charts.
So why is it scoring so awful?
I haven't played it yet and I am wondering if I is worth it.
With the cloud it is almost on the PS4's level, but not quite.
Xbox fans don't want to her the res talk now.
last gen they sang a different tune...
@donthate
Like Forza 5? Oh I guess not, 79 on meta.
Yeah, who wants a legit racer that requires skill anymore. We want open world craziness!! Right?? /s
I guess maybe people just like Sony more, Gangsta Red...
@Farmassy
"Don't worry, he isn't talking bad about your precious tlou"
lol, someone is bitter over TLoU.
Actually it is comparable to Forza.
Forza 5 scored 79 on meta, DC isn't far off. Is it some kind of killer? No, but it doesn't need to be. Racers not named Gran Turismo are not mega system sellers anyways.
The journalists quote they use was not talking about Horizon. Now is Horizon a better game in general, no doubt, but racers are pretty niche in general. LBP 3 will probably be one of the more popular exclusives this year.
Well Forza 5 is 79 on meta, 74 really isn't far from it.
Both track racers remember... I know people hated to compare FH2 to DC, I guess it's ok to compare their meta scores though.
And LBP 3 is just as much a "true exclusive" this holiday as FH2 is... Why do people change the idea of what an exclusive is so often. If it is on one console and not the other, it's an exclusive!!
Actually PS4 and Wii U have exclusive games rated above 9 on meta... X1 not so much.
Good for you that DC turned out like you were hoping though, I am sure that makes you very happy.
I don't think it is the hype or the content at fault.
Sorry to say that if a game is good then it is good, regardless of hype. I can think of tons of "over-hyped" games that got amazing reviews. DC seems to be an average racer, perhaps a bit lacking in gameplay.
I am sure it is still decent, and it is beautiful. But I think people were right when they said they focused too much on things other than gameplay.
I guess people were right about Drive Club... They focused too much on graphics and not enough on gameplay.
I can't really fault a reviewer for comparing it to FH2, FH2 is still a racer, and a fun one it seems.
DC is probably still good though.
@KiwiViper85
I think it is fair to throw LBP3 in the mix.
Seeing as how edge magazine named LBP one of the top ten games of last gen, and it is an award winning franchise.
The mistake they made was admitting the reason they created parity was due to the controversy and not hardware.
They shouldn't have said anything about it, because now it's even more controversial than the actual hardware debate.
I don't remember devs being kind to help the PS3 last gen with multiplat parity.
Interesting how much devs want to help now and how it is taboo to debate multiplat differences now that Sony has the advantage.
Seeing as how the PSN has to handle about double the traffic for PS4 servers than XBL does for X1, I could see it having a bit more downtime. It is worth it though to have more people to play with online.
