The shift from "traditional" gaming is happening as we speak and mobile and digital Distribution and Cloud gaming will soon take over. Just look at the data showing this. It's only a matter of time.

Thank GOD Sony went in this direction. It's a total 180 from the PS3 where they did not go to developers for input at all and Microsoft did.

I am running Crysis 2 and 3 on a Crossfire based High end PC and based on that footage of Killzone and the very game I am playing, no, it does not look better.
I am not the only one saying that either. When Eurogamer did a breakdown, they said the very same thing. Put the two games side by side and you will see right away.
Not a single game will be 4k native on the PS4...If there are games native 4k, those will be last generation title arcade games.
You won't see any games running native 4k on the PS4 or the Xbox720 UNLESS they are last generation arcade titles.

They made us wanting more. Sony has learned the key areas of marketing. They just revealed enough to get our taste buds wanting for more. My only gripe was the majority of games shown were most likely not running on the actual hardware...But in a way that;s a good teaser to get you wanting to see more. Now it's up to MS to show some of its cards...
Exactly. I am EXCITED for the announcement for the PS4 and all the sweet sexy possibilities that comes with it, HOWEVER what they showed were all games and demos running on PC hardware pretty much. The Killzone gameplay looked stellar... however to be honest, if you PC game for the last few years you seen this level of play and better with better graphics and physics.
I think we ALL want to see actual hardware from both Sony and MS. Not games running on PC hardware matching their sys...
It's a no brainer for this console to be well under $600.
Reveal ACTUAL hardware and not have their games and demos running on PC systems with equivalent specs....
UE3 might have had early issues on the PS3 platform but it was far from not working in general on all the others. It had its caveats but it was still one of the most flexible game engine this generation.
If it did not work as you claim, then why was it the most used game engine this generation?
