What I did find with this E3 was these next gen systems were showing off physics, graphics and gameplay that I have enjoyed for YEARS on my PC and in most cases those games on these systems did not look any better and actually some looked worse then PC games.
Obviously as time passes these next gen games will get better but I found this interesting that the games looked like PC games years ago.

They can be for core/hardcore gamers if implemented correctly in core games. Using both controller and Kinect and voice commands. There are amazing possibilities however game developers have to take advantage of it and not just use it as a tack on.
That's the challenge.

PC gamers like myself should be damn happy about the XboxOne and PS4. Why? Because they both use PC architecture as the PC and games will be so easy to port back and forth. So in the end, PC gamers will get most if not all 3rd party games hitting these systems because it will be a snap to port games back and forth. Win Win in my books.
I am getting disagrees for stating this? LOL. Only on N4G.COM

Its a two sided sword. Being bundled with every unit, developers can program features for it that would be benefit ALL Xboxone owners as there would be no fragmentation.
The other side is the cost.
It's obvious why the XboxOne costs $499 and not $399. It's Kinect.
Kinect can be amazing IF all game developers jump on board when making games. This could be a huge advantage for MS, however it all depends on support for 3rd party games especially. If every 3rd part...

I can't see myself buying an XboxOne unless policies change. Price I don't care about as I will never buy a console near launch again after getting burned with a Launch PS2 and Xbox360.
I wait about one year after release or more and the price goes lower and more games are out. My gaming PC and gaming Laptop keep me occupied until then.
The Policy for the XboxOne however is my killing stroke not to get it. Not to mention the PS4 is more powerful then the XboxOne (Ev...

I think the issue lies not so much with paying to play, its the fact that Sony touted this as a feature and they would never adopt...and did... That's why many are feeling upset over this.

Price alone killed the XboxOne. That extra $100 is most likely for Kinect 2.0... Microsoft will have to address the price point first and foremost, THEN address the other elephant in the room. DRM.

Sony would have "lost" if they did not address DRM and price point because lets all be brutally honest. Their E3 was boring and lackluster. It really was.
Sony destroyed Microsoft with those two announcements to the point Microsoft will have to respond or the XboxOne is DOA...

If you want to play online you have to... Something Sony said they would never do...

Sony did not win in 120 mins...They won it in 20 mins when they announced no DRM and $399...That was the bullet to the XboxOne's head

4644d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment

Sony won with the no DRM policies and price. MS had the better show but that's no consequence because games will come to the PS4 and not be DRM riddled and launch at $399.They won because of this.

Sony won because of the price point and No DRM policies. Pure win. As for the rest of their show? Let's be honest. It was boring and lack luster... But who cares. Sony will bring the games and not the DRM

It is....Ironic....However the price point and no DRM as mentioned is a win...Now lets hope publishers don't cry about this

4645d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Now saying all that. None of these games look better then PC games years ago let alone PC games today. This concerns me so far

4645d ago 4 agree4 disagreeView comment

Get real. PS4 E3 was boring as hell, but the PS4 is the more powerful system and is $100 cheaper with no DRM. That alone is a big win.

There were game but most were multi platform games and small indie games. Sony's conference was boring and a major let down. They however pulled the rabbit out of the hat with the price point and policy rules which IMO is the most important thing period. Why? Because games will come to the PS4...Policy and price point are critical. MS screwed this up HUGE unless they release multiple sku's at lower price points.

4645d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

The price alone killed Microsoft...I get the feeling MS will have a PRICE reduction soon LOL

4645d ago 8 agree1 disagreeView comment

More powerful system...
No DRM...
$399

Only bad thin paying for online...
Other then this...I will be grabbing the PS4 in mid 2014...
Sorry Xbox... Unless you drop this draconian DRM policy and make the price match the PS4, you lose and you will lose BIG this generation.
Sony your E3 was boring as frekn hell...But you went off the top rope with those two announcements. Great job!
