Fail comment is fail
I'm thinking of SLI'ing 2 GTX 460 SE's (already have one) on a NVIDIA nForce 980a SLI chipset Mobo... would the performance increase be worth it/very notable? Sorry, I just don't know too much about SLI to be honest.
For starters, MK isn't your typical QCF fighting game, so yeah. It's simple to pick up and only as deep as you want it to be... You should give it a try... Do note, however, that the bosses are cheap.
It's not confirmed if it's a edited Milena model or Skarlet. And even if it is her, she's be missing voice, special moves, enhanced special moves, x-ray move, fatalities, babality, ending and portrait... That's a lot of stuff you know.
Besides, we already knew her model was on the disc, given the fact that she appears at the start of story mode.
I still greatly enjoy SSF:IV (and look forward to the arcade edition), but not only as a fighter but as a game in general, you should give MK a try. It has a very unique feeling to it and the story mode alone is worth it, as it's rare to find such a fleshed out experience in a fighting game (or even many other types of games!)
MK9 has a simplistic charm to it with enough depth if you wanna take a dip in it's deep engine. Overall, a VERY refreshing experience...
@Neko
Wow, you REALLY don't get it, do you?
Yeah, we'd rather have consistently conflicting opinions in reviews, console biases as well as a irregular scores which have nothing to do with attracting attention to the site. It's a good thing we agree on what we want =)
btw, while at it, do me a favor and compare these 2 reviews for me, will ya dear? (hint, presentation and lasting appeal being the key points here)

Nice review. IGN should take notes of this...
wow, if this guy had problems with the story mode 2v1 fights or some of the bosses, I wonder how he'd fare against any of the delicious SNK bosses (98/02 Rugal, Orochi, Goenitz, Igniz, Krizalid, Zero, Geese Howard, Mizuki, etc...) SNK boss syndrome FTW!
Strange that with Alpha 3's Shin Bison, SF3's Gill *shudder*, SSF4's Boss Seth, Tekkens Jinpachi, BlazBlue's Nu-13/Unlimited Hazama, Guilty Gear's Justice, Boss I-No/Dizzy or Soul Calibur's Inferno ...
I love this part:
Lasting Appeal: Yeah, it has lots of modes, a story mode, a ladder mode, an arcade mode, versus mode, tag team mode, tons of unlockables in the krypt... BUT IT'S LASTING APPEAL WILL DEPEND ON THE COMMUNITY, 8.5/10!
Generic FPS (CoD:mw, mw2, bo): Lasting Appeal: Fucking masterpiece! 10/10!
But yeah, my main issue is with the PRESENTATION part. The game has modes, looks gorgeous and characters have enough costumes to appe...
Well, it's the way I get it, but don't take my word for it, you may only (lol, only) get a 1 free PC version (to give to a friend OR to link to your steam account).
Either way, it's one hell of a deal!
Agreed, this game is garbage. I felt cheated out of $56 when bought it and I wouldn't pay a cent for it now.
From the way it sounds it works like this:
1. you can link your PSN account and steam account and that way get access to Portal 2 on your steam account. Your PSN and steam account CANNOT play portal 2 at the same time. This is done from the in-game menu of portal 2
2. included is a voucher for a free steam version of Portal 2.
Wow, Valve has really outdone themselves this time :o
Yeah, for me, Rain and Shinnok are the only things missing for this to be a perfect perfect perfect MK game. LOVE IT!
While I can see where you are coming from, I have to disagree as well. I get that many players (and many of my friends as well) will stick to their SSF:IV (and upcoming SSF:IV-AE), but I'll gladly be playing both. It's different crowds and different games. It's like comparing MAG to CoD, just because their shooters doesn't mean their communities and game play isn't as different as day and night.
What I DON'T get is the SF/Tekken/VF/VS/BB/GG communities...
Yeah, I miss the old KoF's... 98 had a simplistic charm to it; C f+A *special or DM/SDM* was pretty much every character's bread and butter combo and not unlike MK, it had a large, likable and memorable roster to it and a overlaying story which, while not important, made me care about the characters... While Evil Ryu never existed in cannon and is simply there for thrills, KoF had RotB Iori/Leona, O.Yashio/Shermie/Chris etc which played like different charactes, had their own sprites ...
I know what you mean... SF:III (vanilla, 2nd impact and 3rd Strike) was a good sequel to SF:II, but it was clearly only aimed at 1 niche of the gaming community: The Hardcore arcade player. MK had it's ups and downs, with most games post-UMK3 not being to my liking, but at least it took chances instead of recycling the same formula as Capcom has been doing for ages.
Don't get me wrong, I love capcom and I do happen to be a hardcore Fighting Game player, but it's n...
This is the shit that just pisses me off... Neathearealm studios deserves every penny for this game. Seriously, you can tell it's built for the fans. Oh well, boys will be boys, pirates will be fucktards.
inb4 "I WASN'T GONNA BUY IT ANYWAYS LOLOLOLOL"
PD: At least we'll know if Klassic Costumes are Krypt unlocks now and that debate will finally end... Still, fuck you Pirates!
MAG much?
What's next, Interdiction DLC?
If we can get more GlaDOS in these test chambers/challenges, all be as happy as can be... Also, hopefully they'll include the scrapped Pneumatic Diversity Vent. I love Valve ♥
