Ummm you realize they've done this before. Every post-alpha SF game has been asked if there will be follow ups and the answer has always been "there's nothing like that planned at the time". In MvC3's case, 4 months later a UMvC3 announcement was made.
It's a victory allright. Even if Dark Souls doesn't get ported to PC, the next SOULS game will, and that's good enough for me.
Wow, this article is almost a word-by-word copy of a previous Gamespy article posted today, going as far as mentioning EVERY MOD in that article:
http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/el...
More like Crysis Maximum DRM Edition. Like hell I'll buy that SecuRom infested garbage. I'd much rather wait until the next Steam sale and buy them there to be honest.
Yay, time to dust of 'ye old Japanese PSN account once more. Gotta love me some FROM SOFTWARE titles. I hope this game is more in line with LAST RAVEN than the later incarnations of AC.
Payday for cheaper-than-Steam-sale price? Hell yeah! ($9.79 for PSN+ VS $9.99 during Steam sale). MK:AK for $4.89? SOLD!
Only problem is, this article doesn't take the Nintendo WiiU into account. Nintendo has been playing at the casual market, but if the WiiU were truly something for both sides of the gamer spectrum, Sony AND Microsoft would be late to the ball. Sure, both have their own fanbase, but fans are only as loyal as long as they get their latest product fixes.
So is Kotick (and with many 0's more than Notch) and that don't stop him from crying out against piracy, abusing DRM's and nickle-and-dimeing every customer of his...
Ever hear the expression "TOO LITTLE TOO LATE"? Also, XIII-2 ends on a TO BE CONTINUED, so enjoy getting a non-conclusive game and shelling out $60 extra when XIII-3 comes out. Hooray!
I think the article means the asian (HK) Greatest Hits (Or, as the HK version is called, THE BEST) edition.
"Like real life" is a bit of an overstatement, it ain't no icenhancer 1.3 or Crysis, but it's certainly damn nice looking!
"Activision finally got the game and Elite at a stable status, but that is just one of the many features they needed to work on"
Ummm, a stable game and $50 "service" are not features. They're supposed to work and be stable out of the box, not a month+ after release.
Wow, so now you're gonna get even less for these overpriced map packs? Pffff, I'll vote with my wallet. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...
(And the sad part is, it will still sell like hotcakes)
It was the rap thing + people whining because Mr.Grim is black now. It caused massive outrage in the TM forums, thus why this video was made.
I'm not clowning on COD, but it's hard to deny that the games themselves are done in a way to maximize publicity and sales.
If Kotick has charities and such is very scarcely relevant to how the games are essentially soulless cash machines.
Thankfully there's still people who care more about moral integrity than sales numbers.
It's small things like this which actually reassures a fan that the game is made with us in mind unlike some other "mass produced for sales records" games out there... *coughCODcough* -insert obligatory shock scene for added publicity-
If you would have said Bethesda I'd slightly agree. But after Dragon Age 2, I don't want Bioware at the helm of anything to be honest.
How will it change MMO's? It's essentially WOW with a Star Wars makeover. The fact that each "expansion" or add-on needs to be green lighted by Lucasarts means that the updates will be scarce and the story can't really go anywhere either since the SW mythos is pretty much written out already.
The combat flat out feeds you Trinity with little space for deviation and it's not like 90% of the players will wanna be a Jedi or a Sith.
I get you, my Demon's and Dark Souls saves are like badges of honor, I'd get pissed as hell if something happened to those files. Cloud Storage all the way!
This pretty much happened to me with the collectors MvC3... Like hell am I buying another capcom game. I'll just wait 8 months and see if a new version has been announced.
