Wow, this is great news! Kudos to Anet, the guilds will love this!
Agreed. Guild Wars 2 looks awesome and innovative. SWTOR just looks like WoW in space to be honest. I am sick of the holy trinity in MMO's.
This won't be released for a while, so it's not gonna get confused with DE:HR. Also, Christopher Lee in this = win, I still have my original cassettes for Deus Ex Machina, it was SOOOOO awesome, but crazy expensive.
So what, basically Capcom is too lazy to build the game "from the ground up" and to add trophy support? (but not "lazy" enough to charge full price, obviously...)
No Guild Wars 2 on that list. list fail indeed.
Agreed, this looks almost next-gen... It's amazing what they can do with a engine that's gotten pushed this far!
@leemo19:
Well, there's the betting crowd for starters, seeing as how many bets (proposition bets) depend on specific outcomes (for example, R.Wayne runs 120 yards total in one game) and trust me, most of the gambling crowd bets on pretty much every game out there.
Then there's the hardcore fans, the website owners and bloggers, who need to give their opinion/commentary on every game played and how every player played, there's the fantasy football crowd, e...
Thing is, I figure they'd end up making more money out of thousands people paying $5 per games (multiple times) than the few who'll end up getting this high-priced package. If we've learned anything this generation is that people like the $4.99 price tag and are sure as hell more willing to pay $4.99 20 times than to pay $100 upfront.
I wish they'd sell specific games... For example, just the colts game for one Sunday for $5 (not every game going on on Sundays, many at the same time). Charge $10 for post-season/playoff games, pro-bowl for free and superbowl for $15.
DLC pricing and I know I (and a lot of others) would buy it.
It looks SO awesome :(
Too bad it's a Capcom game and I seriously refuse to buy this knowing that a improved version is inevitable. As much as it pains me, I'll wait it out until Super SF x Tekken Tag or something like that...
With it's style? I'm fine with this as long as it's not another brown shooter...
Agreed 100% with this post. MK was an awesome reboot that does a lot more than play of nostalgia. There has not been ANY fighting game with this much content since the ps2 era, if even. The game has A LOT of depth and while on the surface it may seem that it's mechanics are unchanged, once you get the hang of the bar and juggles, it's truly a fighting game masterpiece. The scores (of any game) should be assigned on genre and, as far as fighting games go, MK is a 9/10 or 10/10.

"The team focused on maximizing content for UMvC3 that benefits all buyers." ...Stopped reading at the first lie.
Agreed. At first they were your standard elvish/fairy style characters... With this redesign, there's a lot more personality and feeling behind it. I'm personally going for Asura though, but I can't wait till GW2 is released.
It's such a shame that so many people don't read these diaries to get an appreciation of how deep this game really, how much thought went into every detail and why it's been in development forever.
ULTIMATE Rip off
Indeed, I still feel like an idiot for buying the LE of MvC3... Last time I buy a Crapcom game. I'm voting with my wallet.
Reason 1 - As a hardcore fighting game player that studies frame data in detail, I can tell you straight up: Yes, I'm happy when glitches get fixed and the game gets updated. I'm NOT happy when I have to pay $40 for it. Back in the arcade era it was ok because it was the ONLY WAY to update a game (to make a new cart) and the arcade owners would quickly win back the money as people would flock to the updated/new machine. Games like Guilty Gear X (which would go on to become XX, #Reload...
Not to be a pessimist about this (and I know this will get dislikes), but even if Capcom were to bring back MML3, it wouldn't be the same. The team working on it would already have gone through the stress of the cancellation (which would impact the game) and if they bring it back it wouldn't be to please the fans or whatever, it's because they would finally see enough of a $$$ gain for it to be viable (unlike all the mega man games of the past, which took risks).
...
I wouldn't mind Pinhead being in there...
"When it's ready" xD
Closed beta is gonna be at the end of this year with the open beta early next year, so expect a late Q1 or Q2 release.
