I'm going to have to really disagree with you on that one. UT3 is not a better shooter then Gears of war. The online aspect of it is better, but come on now. Brought mine used on xmas eve, had it for three days, and traded it in. The game was ok, I'll pass on both the ps3 and xbox360. The guy at game stop in Lenox Square mall told me the game will get old fast, and he was right. It really didn't hold my attention for that long. To each his own, if you think it's outstanding, great.
Because watching it is not enough. It's one thing to watch it, and then to play it. Gears of War is one of the best tag shooters I've played in recent years. I can sit down and watch someone play RFOM, or Gears and not like it. So you can't base your opinion on looks. Try playing it on insane, and trust me six hours will turn into days. I think I waited to long to play the first Rfom. I played it and wasn't to impressed with it, I still play Gears of war co-op online to this day with my friends (actually, it's been a few weeks since I been on since our cable provider won't let us hook up another Router right now.), but after playing Games like COD4, Bio Shock, and Halo3 this game is a little on the ok, but stale side. But, you know people will disagree with you because Metal gear solid is a popular game. I like Splinter Cell for it's realism and mission impossible type story telling. I think by giving this game more life like instincts puts a whole new spin on how you can play. We will see
It's sad how these new systems can't seem to produce a real great new Generation Castlevinia. Aside from handhelds, and the Super nintendo Castlevinia IV, why hasn't there been a really good eye opening game? Its possible with the new generation systems. I disagree with you because Micro Soft would have lost if they put an HD DVD in the 360 so soon. Two reason, one it would have made people wait for PS3 . Price wise this would have put them neck and neck with ps3. Two, RROD would have been another stab in the heart. What Micro soft should have did was made the elite HD-DVD ready, with a 250 GB hard drive. and offer two hundred fifty dollars when you traded in the 20 Gb system making the system 260.00 to buy. I felt cheated. Right around that time splinter cell came out and I never looked at MGS in the same light. MGS is well respected, but they have to do something about these General Hospital story lines.
The game for ps3, although it got a lot of great reviews, in my eyes to me it's a sold 8.0, which is not bad. The graphics are great, and the humor that goes along with the dialog is entertaining, but not enough to

I would have to agree with you on a few things, but kind of disagree with you on some of the control aspects of the game. The controls were B+ which is great for a game like Metal Gear the hand to hand combat was always lacking in Metal gear, which I think was caused by dev's to give it a more of a stealth feel.

That was none sense, that's like saying Metal Gear or Final Fantasy is better for the Nintendo, hell thats where it was born. People should stop being bias and try it out for the 360 before you claim such a thing. I've played action games, such as Castlevinia SOTN, Golden Axe, Double Dragon, Contra , Oblivion, Nba live, Madden, and a few others on 360, and the controls felt just as good as playing it where it all started. 44.3 he is being Bias, that is very clear. He has chosen a side with out supplying cold hard facts, or true evidence that shows that one, DMC is better suited for a ps3 controller. Just because they were on past sony systems doesn't make the controls better. I could understand that the PS3 is the system of choice for some, but to clearly state DMC is better suited on a ps3 controller, and then apply that the 360 controller is made for just shooters is also a bias statement.

not on how fast you can get in and get out but more on the tactical side of things. UT3 is based on run and gun carnage were you are rewarded on how fast and how many times you kill someone in a row. Two totally different games.
