I agree, I just didn't feel that same balance in MGS4 that I did with say splinter cell, or MGS1. The weapons in the game were good additions, but really didn't have a specific game changing purpose. I just felt they moved away from the High tactical sneaking to focus on the story.
I liked the one on NES, and ps1 better, Before you guys go on to disagree, understand this. MGS4 in my opinion is not the best of the series in the MG universe. The best looking, and the most dramatic yes, but MGS4 lacks what Metal Gear, and MGS for NES/PS1 had, the real feel of sneaking, at times in MGS4 I felt handicap due to the limited ways of sneaking past someone.
I didn't feel the real urgency or creativity that was put into past MGS, and MG. For example, in Metal Gear ...
It and beat it for the nes many moons ago. It was an excellent game, A.I was one of the most intelligent of that time. The climax of the game was
when you got captured on purpose to get to gray fox. I never finished part two though.
E3 is an exciting event, i HOPE THEY SHOW THAT Aliens game.
However, a person that commented on the web link to this story hit it on the head.
"I find the problem most people have with the cut-scenes is not their length, but the randomly inane events and loose cutting. There are many times I wished for better cuts to tighten up scenes. The two most obvious ones being the first meeting with the seller and with your North American contact. The cut-scene for the seller was ten minutes long and mostly pointless. A skilled editor and be...
You are dead on with the Bio shock comments. MGS4 is a great game, there are just somethings that were over used that makes MGS seem more like a movie then a game.
I just feel that MGS4 hasn't evolved into that great perfect game that everyone raves about, and I really tired to force my self to think it was, Really I did, but there are a few things that were over done thats blocking my perfect fun factor. Is it really that necessary to get into greater detail about Sneaks Nano's once a concrete understanding has been set, even after 8 minutes of explanation? I could careless what a mutated cell in snakes body looks like and further break down of how the...
And in no way were there this many long cut scenes. I own the game, and the cut scenes are taking away from the time I want to spend to see the evolution of game play in MGS,I already know this generation can produce cut scenes that are out of this world, It seemed like every new area I went into had a long dragged out story The Graphics are pretty. But the balance of cut scenes and actual play are turning me off, and I'm a fan of MGS
Disappointed in the game play. the cut scenes are killing the enjoyment for me. The visuals are outstanding, but for me it's a little frustrating dealing with the long cut scenes. I don't want to skip them because I know this is where the story is going to unfold. I just hope the next few acts can change my mind
I my friend have Game fly shipping the game as we speak
Where I'm at, my big problem is I haven't upgrade my kimpo I missed a few on the way, but here is how you can beat him, when you are standing on the piller use the arrows to hit him. then use the run on water skill and head straight for his chest and hit him as many times as you want he will let loose those dead fish that can be annoying, you can also attack his chest under water it works but I found that hard to pull off for the whole fight.
I really don't give a damn if the graphics aren't miles away from NGS, I know this much, the combat system in NGII is one that deserves to be respected. You have to have some skill to at least advance through the levels. I got my a$% tore into trying to fight the 4th level boss head on. You can try to hack and slash all you want, but you gonna be frustrated. Level Five is a pain right now
I see the points, and the PSP is an excellent portable. However, I have to side with the DS, the games are a bit more innovative just because of the stylist. My wife and I go back and fourth in Brain Age, but thats not the point .
I think what makes a portable the best is if the person who brought it is using it to its full potential. In the case of the DS/and PSP they are two totally different systems one focuses more on the games and interaction, while the other is a jack of all ...
Because this 199.99 deal works with a 2yr contract if you don't sign a contract you will not be able to own it.But in terms of how it's being sold and paid for, the iPhone 3G is something of a step backward.
(pay close attention to the 2nd paragraph)
"You won't be able to buy it online; it will only be available in Apple and AT&T retail stores. There will be no self-activation — you'll need to have it activated in the store. This should effectively kill the gray marke...
On top of that, AT&T has some expensive minute rates compared to T-mobile. Hell, I pay 39.99 for 1000 day, free nights and weekends with T-mobile. Apple made a poor decision limiting their smart phone to just AT&T as specially when you want to have 10million in the hands of consumers by the end of the year. The majority of the people are already locked into a contact with a cell company,
Here is where the problem comes in. In order to get the 199.99- 299.99 phone is, you have to sign a 3 yr contract with AT&T in order to get the phone first. THis is a problem because if you do uncrack it you will be stuck in a three year contract with AT&T, and there plans compared to T-mobile aren't attractive at all.
Apple Inc.'s plan is to have 10 million smart phones in customers hands by the end of this year. A mistake made by Apple is limiting their device to AT&T f...
One thing that I've noticed about NGII is the combat system is much more forgiving. Being able to cut limbs off and go for a quick kill takes away from the strain that part one added. With out taking away to much of the games signature moves. The added run on water one is a cool added skill. However, I can't seem to beat the boss in the third level. Some flying centipede statue that uses electricity to do its damage
I have to disagree just a taste, the graphics are great as specially the lighting effect in time Square, the combat system is bad as% too, once you get each enemy's timing down right, the cam angles can be a pain, but it really hasn't taken anything away from the game it's self. The 2nd Boss got on my last nerve, the sub weapons are a nice add, but I found the dragon sword the better weapon to use as specially when you cut off a limb and go for a quick kill . All and all I give the game an 8.5...
Are forgetting that no 3rd party game is safe, in theory. Some people are spining this as if every 3rd party game is going to come to a certain system, and be better when it does happen. The same can be said about Heavenly Sword which is now being made for the 360, or Bio Shock in that matter. As gamers, we need to not feed into the ha ha 7th grade mentality and look at the article for its true meaning. Which again means no 3rd party game is safe no ps3, no xbox360, or wii game.
I have NGII and I'm really enjoying it. The combat system is one of the better systems I've toggled with. However the story isn't that amazing. I wouldn't sleep on NGII its a very good game. I can't speak for too human just yet.
