Maybe instead of putting so much into making PS3 "future proof" they should have also made it "present proof." Based on my experience, "present money" is more real and useful than "future money."
This article is total BS. Everybody knows that people who are interested in Halo already own a 360. I'm sure all those people that are walking into gamestops lately are just there to take pictures, or are buying 360s just to make me look like a total asshat retard homo for saying that Halo 3 will not move console sales.
Heavenly Sword, the top renting PS3 game, is not even in the top 5 of PS3 game sales, indicating that most who've tried it aren't buying it. Triple-A indeed.
Another scenario is if costs come down quickly enough, HDDVD/Bluray combo drives could become standard, and the format war could end up a draw just like +/- DVDR. If MS can come out with a cheap combo drive add-on for the 360, that would be a big kick in Sony's nuts.

Guys, don't let these Halo bashing comments bait you into an argument. I've been surfing all over the web and THERE IS NO HALO BACKLASH. The game is a success with critics, gamers and cash registers, a done deal. The haters are just trying to get a rise out of you because they have nothing better to do.

None of the Ps3 games you mentioned is out yet. You can name 1 next gen 360 game and you can't name a single ps3 game that's out already? Can we not talk about what stuff is supposed to be until after it manages to "be"?
It's no big mystery sherlock. Even the cheapest 360 still costs too many clams for most folks. Get that puppy below $200 and you'll see it hit 20 million. Most of the tards here don't see what MS has up its sleeve after December. I'll tell you what's coming: a price cut! Expect the fire sale after the Xmas shopping wave. I don't think even Metal Gear can stand up to a $100 discount.
