The reason latency is not an issue for the CPU is because the CPU is clocked at half the frequency of a normal CPU, 1.6 ghz instead of 3.2 ghz. If the CPU was faster than I could foresee latency issues. There is a reason the CPU is clocked at 1.6 ghz and not 2.4 or 3.2 ghz.

I would say the only foot Sony has put wrong is "paid online" but even then Ps+ is much better value for money than its alternative XBLG.
According to some folks over at Neogaf the GPU has now around 1.37 teraflops compared to 1.23 teraflops. The RAM is still up in the air though....
However after the "yield issues" and the downclock rumor I don't think we should jump to conclusions. Lets just wait until the benchmarks are released.

Look I know this guy was crazy but at E3 2005 Ken Kuturagi said you would need a system with around 15 terflops of computational power to render real-time graphics at a CGI level, this was when he was talking about the super-computers at Sony Pictures that are used to make CGI scenes and characters in movies.
Yup, they are one of the many members but they are one of the 4 propriety owners of Blu-Ray technology and they control the rights to the use of Blu-ray in consoles. MS will pay them a minimal amount, its something but nothing to brag about. MS will pay maybe $4 in royalties and Sony might receive $1 for every Xbone.
I'd be happy to be proven wrong ;)! But Physics calculations, streaming of textures, and even entire games is impossible on most peoples internet speeds.
