@george
What..... the fact that the PS4 is more powerful and cheaper than its main competitor? It's not biased what has MS released this year......Gears of War Judgement meanwhile Sony has release Ni No Kuni, GoW:A, The Last of Us....not to mention Rain, Puppeteer, GT6, Ratchet and Clank: IttN and Beyond: Two Souls are coming and last time I checked Sony didn't try to f#ck over their consumers.
They are a very good developer, no doubt......the best well that is subjective. I suppose you could say their games are consistently excellent, Uncharted 3 in my opinion was better paced than Uncharted 2, Uncharted:DF was also a wonderful game and The Last of Us is a masterpiece. Lets not forget other developers, From Software that dragged us kicking and screaming into Boletaria and Lordran, Rock Star Toronto who made the wild, wild west cool again, CD Projekt Red who created two of the fine...
When studio Liverpool closed down most of their employees went to work at Evolution. Evolution now has two main teams and one small team, my money is on the second team making a new Motorstorm or another WipEout.
From the comment section
"I don't put much stock into the hourly updated Best Sellers list. However, I do consider Amazon's "Best Sellers of 2013 (So Far)" to be indicative of the consoles' popularity. The Playstation 4 Launch Edition is at #3 and the Xbox One Day One Edition is at #6. Neither of those can climb any higher since they both sold out, the PS4 on 6/13 and the XB1 D1E about a month later.
However, the PS4 Standard Edition climbs ...
The biggest mistake Sony made was not to purchase BMG Interactive (Rockstar, Irrational) back in 2003. They were involved in talks but decided not to. Sony spent 2.5 billion USD last year on acquisitions (Gakai, Olmpus, EMI ditributon etc) but they have spent practically nothing this year. I don't think myself Sony will buy anyone major. In March this year Take-Two Interactive was valued ONLY at 840 million USD, almost a sixth of their all time high. I was suprized Sony, Microsoft, Acti...
Good.
What about GPU+CPU=APU
CPU=1.9gz
GPU=800mhz
=APU 2.7ghz
???????
Im sorry but whether this game is terrible or brilliant the devs don't deserve this, they have worked hard on this project. I personally think the booing is because of all the stupid moves MS has made and has nothing really to do with the quality of DH's game as well as placing KI right before the finals.
It moves away the farther you get from it....
You sir/ ma'am (Sorry it's the Internet) could be an advocate or a lawyer, you construct your side of the argument brilliantly, that it is almost impossible to pick holes in it . Excellent blog, you are gifted at writing. Anyway on topic, the Ps4 is the way to go next-gen as of now, however I think all of us have been sipping the "Sony" Kool-aid, in other words it should have been expected for Sony not to implement DRM. Bare-Bones online play should have remained free. Ps+ ...
I know exactly what you mean. But we don't know if this anonymous source is credible, it could be a dev or it could be a fanboy.
This will never happen, their just isn't a large enough market...it doesnt have appeal for a company like MS to invest alot of money in. I think the best chance of a reboot is a downloadable title. But hey, who knows?
@ ballseye
Those charts you provided are the biggest load of cr*p I have ever seen. This Xbox 360 does not have 278 gb/s of badwidth, thats 100 more than the Ps4's!!!
Terrible article.
I hate "anonymous developers"..... not that I don't think myself that the Ps4 versions will have better textures and frame-rates but I think we should at least wait for full official comparisons done by the likes of Digital Foundry.
Wow!
So true.
This could end really well for everyone including MS or really badly for everyone including MS depending on what "features" they bring back.
You are right, the CPU in the Ps4 isn't crap and is very efficient and is clocked at 1.6ghz to avoid latency issues with the unified GDDR5 RAM.
From idigitaltimes article:
"What's more, the other major gaming companies aren't as interested in the Atlus bankruptcy. Sony is the biggest threat; if they decide they're interested, they can certainly outbid Nintendo. Square Enix would make a lot of sense, but wouldn't help them diversify - quite the opposite - and they don't really have the money. Capcom or Konami could pick it up, but there are no obvious synergies. And Microsoft and other Western...
