That makes sense actually. I am sort of fatigued by open world games. I really enjoyed the last case of Benjamin fox and last year Stray. I think the older I get the more I appreciate a 12 hour game here and there.

I hope it is linear to a point. I don’t need every game to be 100 hours long. I don’t think we’ll see it at the showcase though. I don’t think we see Indiana jones, fable, or perfect dark. I’m hoping for some cool indies. Most of the games I’ve enjoyed in game pass have been smaller titles. Which is looked at as a negative but I’ve had slot of fun with them.
Open critic seems to be the most accurate in my opinion. Not 100 percent but definitely better than Metacritic. Also true achievements/trophies has decent user reviews.
You’re correct lol but I’d definitely pay for chained echoes if it wasn’t on game pass. It’s worth the money. I hope for a sequel.
Put it this way, I love jrpgs, but usually I play for 10 hours and move on. I had 80 hours in chained echoes and 100 percented it. The story is great and the game is beautiful. If you have game pass play it right now! If not buy it!
Say what you want about the lack of great first party games, had Phil not taken over I don’t know that there would be an Xbox let alone game pass. 90 percent of the games I play are on game pass. That was his vision so I have nothing but love for the dude. I have loved some of PlayStations exclusives, but in a day to day basis I’m usually playing something on game pass. I understand the criticism, but he definitely saved the brand even if things don’t look good at them moment.

Again unless 99 percent of people on this site are lying which I don’t think they are that is how it works actually. Nobody is gonna sell their console of choice and go to the other console. If anything they’ll just buy the one they dont have and keep the one they had first. It’s asinine to say that’s not the case.
You have to buy a ps5 to play Sony exclusives day one. You have to buy a switch to play Nintendo exclusives. With Xbox you can just join game pass and play those games on pc. That’s one of the reasons Xbox won’t ever catch up in console sales. Phil concedes that great games won’t move more Xbox consoles significantly and I think that’s why. Unless the Sony fanboys are just lying which I don’t think they are, they aren’t interested in Xbox consoles regardless of the quality of the games. I own...
Whether he goes or stays, and regardless of what the overall opinion of him is, he saved the Xbox brand. I’m not saying he has delivered on everything he promised but he patched a lot of potholes that were put in the road by his predecessors. Also from all accounts he’s actually a good person, which is very rare for company heads. He will be missed, by me anyway.
I don’t consider breath of the wild the best Zelda game. I don’t think bigger always means better. I still feel that ocarina of time and a link to the past are the two best Zelda games ever made.
Me too. I actually prefer the world of days gone to the last of us. I was hoping for a sequel. It’s crazy as an Xbox fan I would have killed to play days gone and Sony didn’t even allow a sequel. That shows how the scales are turned. Sony craps gold and flushes and Microsoft just keeps being constipated…….
