Most of that is true, but I would argue the Xbox one launch lineup of games was very strong. Ryse son of Rome was very underrated, dead rising 3 was solid, killer instinct was great and should get a sequel, and for a forza Motorsport 5. People that haven’t played ryse crap on it, but it was very enjoyable and looked beautiful.
I think the reboot on ps4 is the best in the series. I’m not a r&c super fan so maybe it’s just me, but I definitely think the last two games are the best.

No it doesn’t! I don’t know why people keep saying this. No matter how good it may be it’s not gonna win the generation. Now are Sony fans gonna downplay it if it is good because they can’t play it? Of course! Are Xbox fans gonna exaggerate how good it is? Absolutely. None of that matters. One game isnt gonna win or lose a generation especially in the opinions of people on this site which are probably the most toxic group of people aside from Reddit and Twitter keyboard warriors.

I think it gets shown at Sony or Xbox showcase rather than summer gamesfest. I hope so anyway. I’m not a fan of Keighley at all. So I’m rooting against him having it.
The last thing I want is another multiplayer game. I want a game with a huge scope that allows you to be any race, Jedi, sith, bounty hunter, with decisions that matter.

The card system was what turned me off. The game isn’t bad at all though.
If that was a Microsoft studio the narrative would be so much different.
Returnal was very good technically but had it not been a souls like I think it could have been incredible.

I can’t see anything beating out tears of the kingdom for game of the year. Because I constantly hear Sony fans ragging on Xbox I sometimes forget Nintendo crushes them both with their exclusives. Even with tears of the kingdom running at 19 fps and looking basically the same as breath of the wild, no one can touch Nintendo on game world design and gameplay.
Not taking anything away from the breath of the wild or tears of the kingdom, but I’d give anything for a new game more like the classics like a link to the past.
It beats the launch lineup of ps5 and series x. I still say the best ps5 game so far is Astro bot and no one talks about it. It made use of the new controller better than any other game has.
