I think the only mistake Sony has made is the shift to live service so late in the game. There’s a lot of fatigue with that type of model. Also they didn’t implement ps plus as well as xbox did with game pass. I get the “well they didn’t have to put first party games day one” bit then why have it at all? The fact that Xbox has released more games than Sony this year by a wide margin makes that logical, but also under Jim Ryan the focused started to shift towards live service games and it has affected them I think. You can’t wait til trends happen to follow them.
