Xbox Live killing it this year? I haven't been paying attention.
I think there are a couple of things that you're not accounting for when it comes to the upgrade tax as you call it.
Their upgrade goes beyond what other games have actually done in terms of upgrading their game. They did give a free upgrade to PS5 already, you can just buy the Director's Cut expansion and enjoy it with the free PS5 upgrade that already happened. Nothing changes here.
You have an option to pay $10 if you want the improvements th...
If your problem is the price why would it matter if it's standalone or not?
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but you've crossed that threshold.
Wait, you're telling me developers are allowed to create new modes that aren't Battle Royale?
Told my partner to stop me from browsing. We'll see how that goes, the first part of the sale already got me.
They already released a free PS5 patch that makes the game run better on PS5 which is what other devs have also done as you have stated.
This is a whole different thing and you can judge for yourself if it is worth it. Nothing stops you from playing the PS4 version of Director's Cut on PS5 if you're not willing to pay the extra $10 for duelsense support and all the other additional stuff you get.
I'm having a hard time understanding exactly where you're coming from.
$30 is for the expansion and an upgrade to PS5.
I wouldn't be surprised if the base game goes down to $40 when Director's Cut releases. The game you paid $60 last year is not worth that much today, it's what I call an early adopter tax.
Games go on sale all the time, there is no good reason to pay full price unless you just have to play it exac...
Out of all the games you could have picked, you went with Horizon?
One of the best open world games out there that actually does some new and interesting things.
"NARAKA: BLADEPOINT is a 60-player action Battle Royale offering players insane mobility powered by parkour and grappling hook, a vast arsenal of melee and ranged weapons, and a roaster of characters with powerful abilities—transform yourself into a gigantic Vajra Warrior and crush your enemies! "
I don't know why they call this an action/adventure MMO... for a second there I had my hopes up.
This is a ridiculous notion.
Might as well pull up an Excel sheet and compare stats, frame rate, resolution, etc. to determine the quality of the game.
People tend to forget that reviews ARE just an opinion.
That's a pretty good bait. 👍
$70 and $60 price tags are really just an early adopter tax. Not just for this game, any game really.
Last game I bought for full price is DBZ FighterZ, next one if going to be Ghosts of Tsushima: Director's Cut.
I have no problem waiting for the game price to go down and a few patch updates under it's belt. Better quality for cheaper price. Not sure why everyone considers this a sprint or has to play the game within the first few months of it be...
I just hope there's a good game somewhere under those charming graphics. That is my only concern at this point.
I'm always in favour of a delay to get the game running as best as possible.
I think you're missing the point here.
The only people that lose or win anything are the players. Sony doesn't need you to defend them, this is not a battleground.
Personally I think Hunter's Arena looks interesting but it also has a price tag, something witch other Battle Royale games do not and this will hold it back until it eventually becomes F2P or dies off. I think we all win if it's a good game.
Come one now, you're better than this.
It doesn't matter who wins, I think we can all agree this is a solid month for Games with Gold. It's certainly one of the best months in a long while.
I'm saying this as a PS fan.
I was actually considering giving this a go but I think it's a pass for me now.
I don't often buy games day 1 this will be an exception.
The reason I didn't get it so far is because I've been waiting for a complete version of the game.
I'm running under the assumption that there won't be any more single player DLC added after this.
Great story grandpa!
In other news, FPS these days let you look up and down.
All kidding aside, games evolve.
This may just not be a game for you and me but I'm sure a lot of people will be playing it when it comes out.
Not every month is a winner but I've been enjoying the games and discounts we get over the years. It pays for itself in a lot of ways.
