But your not taking into account the fact that if devs decide to place DRM on the disc (So they make money) and Sony allows that (Since they have made comments about leaving it up to developers)than it doesnt matter what machine you buy there is still the DRM hurdle and MS will maintain (albeit fewer) of its core fan base since either option has the same DRM.

Sony hasnt said they arent doing any of this. The only thing Microsoft has said that Sony is not doing is the 24 hour check in (As far as I have read). But Sony has not been clear about its games and if its tied to an account or not. You are clearly misunderstanding the point.
They are in the military, which spends atrocious amounts of money trying to provide entertainment for Military personnel in forward positions. If you have some down time and have access to a game console that's great.
My point is don't complain when you don't or if you cant. That is not a priority at any point in time while in a forward position.

As a Marine usually when I was in the "field" we didn't have electricity. When I was deployed some of the people had a X360 with them but guess what many people didn't and amazingly they made it through just fine.

If this were truly the case than why wouldn't Microsoft build in a way to turn the camera off? Since they haven't said you can turn the camera off I am going to assume you cant just put a piece of paper or tape over it or turn it toward a wall and have everything work.

The difference is that none of the things you mentioned REQUIRE use. I can put a piece of paper, tape, unplug, or disable all the options you just gave leaving ME in CONTROL. Xbox One (as far as I can determine) does not allow me to be in control of how it is used. Would the Xbox work properly if I put a piece of paper over the camera (or turn it toward a blank wall)?
