ND still hired or maybe even offered him the job to begin with so they thought so at least at the beginning.

Pretty sure the tight turn around is in reference to going back to Epic after just leaving.

He was there for less than 90 days... Most companies have a 90 day "probationary" period that works both ways. To find out if you are what they expect and they are what you expect. Leaving a company within that 90 day period should not and highly likely will not affect anything. When working in highly creative teams it is important to have unity and leaving because you do not...

I could be wrong but did the word hipster come up anywhere in the article other than the title?

I absolutely disagree with a majority of this article but I do not see how it is based on a premise of being a hipster unless you just read the headline and judged it based on that.

My problem with this premise is that no one forces any of these people to put themselves out thier. If they really just made games because they love to make games than they don't ha...

Agreed

Xbox was fun
Xbox 360 was easily two steps forward
X1 is a big step back

I hate that they released a console with less features than the previous regardless of how many people used it.

If I could do it all over again I would pass on the X1 and probably the PS4 too... at least for another 6-8 months when the games I want to play come out.

I'm so disappointed this generation.

She needs to learn how to be a good judge of character first... otherwise its wash, rinse, repeat.

Maybe she should find someone in a healthy commited relationship who knows her well to help her find a person who isnt like all the guys she describes.

10 Reasons you need a relationship outside of games.

1: No Power needed! When the power goes out the pc or console will only keep you warm for so long. A significant other will keep things warm all night ;)

2: An actual conversation! I know there are ways to talk to your consoles now but its pre scripted. That is the equivalent of calling a call center for human interaction. But a meaningful debate or discussion can be worth while.

3:Grasping...

Maybe I missed it but out of all the articles I have read I have not once read one thing that is stated as illegal.

Which in reality is bad journalism.

What exactly is the illegal part here?

Affiliates were required to make note that they were being paid for the video. If this did not happen and machinima still paid then regardless of what MS wants this does all fall on machinima shoulders as the ones who broke the law. MS did not directly pa...

Where exactly is the "illegal" business practice?

MS paid Machinima
Machinima paid affiliates
Affiliates stated they were getting paid by machinima.

Affiliates were told not to discuss the agreement and not to state they were being paid by MS (which they were not directly).

Sounds pretty standard to me.

No! They had to state they were being payed for the videos by Machinima.

Machinima is paying for the affiliates videos. MS is paying Machinima not the affiliates. This is strait up advertising and again I'm pretty sure I read they had to state they were getting paid by Machinima for the video.

Maybe I missed something and someone can try to explain this to me but I see zero foul play here.

It was a requirement to apply a monetary compensation for the video.

The affiliates were getting paid by machinima.

The NDA was that they could not say MS was paying for it... which technically they were not. MS was paying machinima to have thier affiliates promote the system and games.

I guess I just don't get how this all f...

What your talking about is a review. I don't know any company that would pay for a negative advertising.

This article is such garbage.

He starts off by saying he's a fan of the TES series and then complains about everything that makes up the TES games. The greatest part of TES to me is that I am not forced as a mage to never pick up a bow. That's why I love the TES games is no matter what you choose you can still do whatever you want.

Freedom of choice... which also means lots of other people can choose the same thing.

Also the character...

No racism is found here at all. There is zero discrimination based on race.

It's a play on his name.

Not trying to hurt anyone feelings but didn't Tod (pretty sure that's the Bethesda softwares leader) say in an interview he wanted to work on a new idea he had.

I could totally see them stuffing TES and Fallout to other developers.

This next section is all hypthetical.

I have a feeling the only reason they have an ESO is because they aren't planning a new TES game. I also think that they are making Fallout 4 because they already s...

"Always leapfrogs"

Since there is only one fallout game isn't it hard to use "always" I mean you are talking about three games and your saying always?

I believe fallout 4 will be the next game released but still it would at least take another fallout to create a pattern.

Businesses buying other businesses is a great part of capitalism (the people who sold that business probably aren't upset). No one forced the company to sell to the larger company. You talk about Google fiber. Google is poised to be the largest business in the world with thier hands already in governments pockets and getting bigger with thier buying of a large amount of robotic companies with military research and developement.Google is far from your friend. They wanted the energy usage i...

Okay first off the socialistic views in the place are off the charts. This was a win for freedom whether you like it or not you just have to look past the now and into the future.
All you people that are hating on Republicans all I have to say is what if a dirty progressive Republican got elected and actually used the net neutrality to block what they thought was innapropriate. If you don't think it will happen look how bad the Patriot act is being abused.

Really? This was a ruling not to regulate. What you are proposing is you want more regulations. You want the government to step in and say (insert isp) you can't do that!

Your whole comment is contradictory.

This!

I played Morrowind one summer straight. I loved it. Oblivion was good. Better graphics and still a good game. Skyrim... Well its pretty... but it sure didn't feel like an TES game to me.

Yep... Rather than actually present an educated arguement like most people, who didn't just make a joke, start calling people immature.

What mature comment have you made to this discussion? Before you start mouthing off about immature teenage boy/men feel free to actually contribute to the discussiin.
