Like other people on this site mentioned, it is breaking records due to more inventory upfront. PS5 and Xbox both sold out day 1 but lack of inventory held back sales numbers.
Honestly, it seems to be a good device that is having a hard time justifying an upgrade to their biggest clients, families. Continue to use the already paid for Switch, that is good enough, or plop down $500+ on a hobby when money is tight due to inflation. Families are choosing the former
