I doubt there will be any PS6 with a built in drive. Cheaper for Sony just to sell 1 version of the console with a separate drive attachment for people that want to use discs

If this was 2004, sure, 512MB would be enough. However in 2025 8GB is not enough for gaming, especially in a couple of years, at 60fps like Valve claims they can get with this pc/console.

I think this is in response to people buying consoles, loading it with games from their account, signing out of psn, then reselling the console for a profit due to the games on it. Don't know how prolific this scheme was but I guess it was enough for Sony to make a change
