I don't think Sony has rights to this either. I could be wrong, but it doesn't make sense. Xbox live is where its at for tournaments and Xbox One was first in order when platforms were listed.

Plus people got to play ps4 AND pc versions.

Maybe Xbox one version is not ready to show off yet due to converting to dx12 and not as polished yet as the other 2 platforms?

Maybe there is platform equality this time around.

Or ...

Ugh enough already. Some people like being able to hotswap their battery packs in their controllers. Is this really so hard to understand??? It has its benefits over an internal battery this can not be disputed. I don't care what year it is, i prefer having a cradle with fully charged batteries ready to go when my controller dies so i can continue playing wireless. No cables involved. If you don't like this then fine but it doesn't mean its a bad option compared to internal its ju...

I recently bought some panasonic eneloop batteries which came with a quick charge station.

I am amazed how long they last. Easily over a week gaming every day. And when they eventually die they charge fully in 2 hours.

Love it.

XBOX ONE was made for DX12.

I have been saying this for ages. PS4 GNM/X API is already very optimized for ps4 and already has a lot of the features that DX12 brings to the table for XBO.

So in short, XBOX ONE has been handicapped this entire time, all while PS4 has had better capabilities across the board thanks to its more efficient API.

Vulkan will not bring improvements to PS4 because its API already does what Vulkan does but at a more cus...

@MrSec84

Yeah but Sony wont ever go for Vulkan on ps4.

GNM & GNMX is more custom fit for ps4 hardware in particular and can easily be updated to include any such new features that Vulkan may offer in the future.

It will always be called gnm/x

Don't see why devs wouldn't use it. Easier to use and better in every way. Especially since UE4, Unity, Frostbite ect have all adopted dx12.

dx11 to GNM
dx12 to GNM

Either way it has to be coded to gnm what does it matter what version of dx it started out on.

If anything its easier seeing as gnm has more in common with dx12 than dx11.

Yeah i am liking the look of this and no exo suit in sight fingers crossed it stays that way.

Seems combat will still be very fast paced though if we get bionic legs in MP but ill take that over grasshopper warfare.

Really glad there are bots in battlefront.

I wish battlefield still had bots.

@Haru

What? Sorry but no. Xbox one is still limited by dx11. It was designed to go hand in hand with dx12 so to say they are using all the resources they can ever use is crazy.

Also xbox one and ps4 cpu are pretty much identical except xbox cpu is faster clock speed. 10gbps faster.

Ps4 is simply outperforming on this front due to gnm being more efficient than dx11.

I don't want to get dragged into a stupid blind biased fa...

@autocad

Dx12 will not make the cpu or anything in xbox one faster.

It will bring new a new level of efficiency and allow the hardware to be used better thats all.

Ps4 gnm api already has quite a few features that xbox one will get with dx12.

This is a big reason ps4 gets better results in some areas even though xbox one has the faster cpu.

Dx11 is limiting xbox one plain and simple.

@gfk342

I see what u saying but doesn't ps4 gnm api already have better multicore cpu command utilization and some other features that xb1 has yet to get?

Brad wardell said quite a few features xb1 is getting with dx12 for devs gnm already does anyway.

Without xbo using dx12 Ps4 has the advantage regardless of xbox ones cpu being physically stronger.

Forza 6 will be amazing i think. I'm expecting an all new dx12 lighting engine making everything look more realistic especially the interiors.

Should be lots of particle effects with weather and damage and exhaust flames ect..

Dan Greenwalt said no compromises with Forza 6 so im expecting it to be the ultimate Forza.

Please don't disapoint me turn10 i been with u since the first forza demo on og xbox. I have faith!

@Aussiegamer1

I understand your excitement for dx12 games cuz im right there with you brother but i have played fable legends quite a few times. The graphics are OK and particles are really nice bright colors an all that, The lighting was really nice too actually but the game itself imo is not a good poster child for AAA dx12 games. Personally i thought it would look better than it did.

Its not as graphically amazing as say nxgen720 or whoever else has made i...

+1 bubble.

Sick to death of all this superiority bs. They are both great and outshine each other in different areas to balance out as 2 great consoles that sit well next to each other.

@OrangePowerz

You need to educate yourself a bit more mate. The stuff you are saying doesn't make sense. And the only one mentioning mrx here is you. This is factual stuff already shown off by MS. we not talking about the bs stacked die trash mrx talks about.

I suggest looking into dx12 and how tiled resources actually work.

Also you would see that 32mb is a good size for it. The only devs that said it was too small were not using it corr...

@OrangePowerz

Xbox one was designed for dx12. The whole reason MS went with the eSRAM design instead of gddr5 was because of dx12 and tiled resources. So to say they don't go hand in hand seems silly.
