The 360 is roughly 8 million ahead of ps3 (according to VGC). That means for the ps3 to even catch the 360 in 2008, on average the ps3 would have to outsell the 360 by roughly 650,000 a month. It is pure stupidity to think that will happen. Let's just think about something a little closer to possible. Say the ps3 started now to outsell the 360 on an average of 100,000 units per month. It would take over 6 years for the ps3 to catch the 360. Average of 200,000 per month, it would be 4 years. P...
1. Until sony or Nintendo can match the quality of Live, people will continue to pay the meager $4.20 a month for Live with no real qualms.
2. MS is already out in front of the hardware problems that used to plague the 360. 1 billion dollars and a 3 year warranty are proof of that. What did sony do about the 3 ps2's I went through in 4 years? Not a damn thing.
3. Games. This is the only one I agree with. As long as MS continu...
I am sure that MGS4 will move some ps3's. But GT5, LBP, and KZ2, I don't see having the same success as MGS4. But 2008, should be a better year for ps3, gamewise. Although, I haven't seen a single decent RPG announced for ps3 in 2008.
As for 360, I predict 2008 will be the year it cracks the mainstream audience. I think that ,in the first quarter of 2008, we will see a decent 360 pricecut (just in time for GTAIV). A $100 pricecut for all s...
Lol, yeah and when they find out that there no games worth $60 to play on it. Or when they find theirselves with a $600 brick appearing on FOX News, because sony won't honor their warranty ,because the console got dust on it.
If it wasn't for the loyal but small fanbase MS has in Japan, I would drop Japan. I know Ubisoft quit sending their games to Japan 3 years ago because any games not made in Japan were put in a section called "foreign" at retailers.
I would tell Konami and Squenix that if they can't bring their heavy hitters to the 360, then their not bringing sh*t to the 360 because MS is not going to work with them. I wouldn't kiss their used up a*ses.
Lol, a billion dollars says I don't give a rats a*s if I ever play another MGS or FF. As for your Halo v/s MGS over-rated question. I can tell you straight up that Kojima and the MGS series are severly overated. I think people have forgotten how clumsy the 3rd person fixed camera controls are, how mediocre the voice acting and localisation is, and how asinine the stories Kojima comes up with are.
When Home rolls around, I garuntee that there will be a problem with perverts bringing younglings to their virtual apartment where they have real porn playing on their virtual big screen tv's. PSN will probably turn into a stinking cespool of pedophiles. I know my kid will not be playing on PSN.
I can't agree with that whatsoever. His stories are written on a 3rd or 4th grade level, and are not put together very well. I've let farts before that made better sense than the stories that Kojima comes up with. God of storytelling he isn't.
I saw what you tried to do there. I'm not Zhuk though. I think Zhuk is probably one of a kind. But don't start crying and get depressed, atleast you tried.
I think that the MGS were decent titles when compared to most ps2 games. I believe that when it hits the next-gen though alot of it's gameplay will seem dated, that is unless some of the issues I posted are addressed. From what I've seen though everything looks the same. The story looks to be as convaluted as ever, and too strangely homo-erotic and perverted for most young people. I haven't heard much about the localisation, but imo this is what will decide alot of opinions on the game. Lips ...
I believe refering to a game as a "___ Killer" is a fanboy comment. There is no such thing as a "MGS killer", "Halo killer", "Mario killer", or "WOW killer". When a dev makes a new game, they aren't looking to "kill" anything. They are looking to establish a game on it's own merits.
I have to disagree. I find the MGS games to have overly clumsy gameplay, and stories that are borderline garbage. I think that unless Konami has done something about the fixed camera, targeting, and overall clumsy hand to hand combat, I believe alot of people will be let down. The stories imo are just plain weird and a little too 4th grade level for me. Another thing that needs work is the localisation. Every MGS game that I have played, I couldn't help but think, this is an obvious attempt o...

This is in regards to N.A.

It would be nice to hear some news about the status of the 360 version of Age of Conan.
Lol, yeah and when they find out that there no games worth $60 to play on it. Or when they find theirselves with a $600 brick appearing on FOX News, because sony won't honor their warranty ,because the console got dust on it.
Sony's next move will be to send ps3's to retailers packed in a 360 box.

Actually, I agree with FirstKnight. MGS is entirely overrated.
MGS4 coming to 360 is not only possible, but it's probable. So is FF. Not that I really care, I'm not a fan of either.

I have been a Live member for over 3 years, and this is the very first time I have ever had any issues. They will get it straightened out.
"Hideo Kojima = god of story telling!"
I can't agree with that whatsoever. His stories are written on a 3rd or 4th grade level, and are not put together very well. I've let farts before that made better sense than the stories that Kojima comes up with. God of storytelling he isn't.
The only people crying about Live being a little buggy the past few days are ps3 owners. Funny stuff indeed!!
