This is the ONLY character action game this year, so of course it's going to be the most anticipated action game of the year. And even Bayo 1 wasn't niche. Not when it's sold over 2M on two platforms. Once you sell over 1M, that's when you stop being niche, IMO. He needs to release a PS4 exclusive. What was the last major game on PS platforms he had a hand on? FFIX? The Last Remnant still seems to be remembered fondly and one of the best JRPGs last gen in 2006 (or was it 07?), but nothing until then. The Last Story on Wii didn't do great. I heard he had a problem with Kutaragi, but he's been gone from Playstation for a whole generation now.

I've seen the trailer. I saw popins and horribly low textures and low low character polys and grass disappearing when the camera zoomed in on Shulk. Even with the boost in CPU (and rumored doubled RAMS), the game on 3DS will still look horrible.

This is a down port like Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D was. Also, you can't call it a remake when the visuals are going to be taking major downgrades than upgrades.
