They have. They've been calling it "Greatest Hits" since the PS1 to PS3. They've yet to do one for any PS4 game though. They'll probably introduce to the PS4 next year or the year after.
And just like with Disney and Pixar, Nintendo has had a lot of hit-and-misses. Not all Disney movies from the 80-90s were blockbuster hits. And mid-2000s, they completely gave up on Disney Network, and added a whole bunch of tween BS, like Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon did. And Pixar... I think it's fair to say CARS was horrible.
Nintendo's problem is, the fanbase they want to attract are moving on to mobile. Why spend $300 on a Wii U and $60 on games when they can...

Anyone can use the Xeno prefix. If Sega wanted to release an Alien game starring the titular Xenomorphs and call the game "Xenomorphs: Insert subtitle here", it would be just fine.
Street Fighter belongs on Nintendo consoles? Why? Only SFII ever got released on a Nintendo platform. Nintendo never got another Street Fighter until they were in a crossover in TvC and Project X Zone.
Of course Megaman flourished under Nintendo. They were all exclusive to Nintendo until X6 or X7 on the Playstation. And Street Fighter only had two options. SNES or Genesis. Resident Evil flourished under Playstation, and even then the PS2 version of RE4 still outsold both the GC and Wii versions. The PS3 got the sequel and the stupid alternate version of the first game. Megaman is only a fighter in Smash 4, that's it. They're not doing anything else with him.

One version of the game is cross-buy. PSABR on both versions are the same game with the same features, except the PS3 version is at 1080p, while the Vita version is at a lower resolution. And with cross-save, you can make progress in one version, then transfer and continue on in the next version.
Streaming is basically the same. You don't need a Wi-Fi connection for remoteplay and off-TV play.
But first, Nintendo needs to introduce unified accounts bet...
They didn't think that ahead with the 3DS. They probably thought the Wii U and 3DS were both gonna repeat the 7th gen, and so all that money would drown fan complaints, such as unified accounts.

The Xbox One sold 3M units despite being $500. It slowed down after December, and the Titanfall bundles were at $400, but that's still a huge amount of console sold. And even then, it was and still is outselling the Wii U, even during May, which was Mario Kart 8 month and the month Halo 5 and the Kinectless $400 Xbone was announced.

Different priorities. Maybe he got a PS4 or Xbox One because that was already his first console of choice. That's already either $400 or $500 down. A week or two later, bills show up, and now has to prioritize those over a Wii U. It doesn't take a genius to understand that. Just because you can afford something slightly more expensive doesn't mean you can just go out and spend another huge amount of money on something else right after.
