I spend way too much time trying to make my characters look like me.
I Am Alive could be good. The more disaster the games, the better, as far as I'm concerned.
I hope this one hits in the West. These games aren't perfect, but they hit a niche that no other game covers, so its easy to look over flaws.
NG1 was good, but its clear that Itagaki gave up halfway through 2 when he realized he was gonna leave Tecmo.
But really, Bayo was one of the best new IPs to hit this gen. Would want more Kamiya.
Wow, really impressive they can support great graphics AND 3D.
I'm just glad this probably means less retconning. Seriously, hope Konami doesn't bastardize the plot anymore.
All it really has going for it is the multiplatform benefit. I honestly can't see it doing that well - maybe like Dante's Inferno, Dead Space or Bioshock 2 levels but its gonna have trouble pushing more than 1.5 mill, IMO.
Aren't they owned by EA now? Can they do a Sega game?
Really? What kid is gonna be able to shell out $250 for a Go and then buy M-rated games like GOW? It seems Sony doesn't know who their audience is.
I understand they're in shaky conditions. That said, I still don't view 'HD content' and 'no ads' as new material - it's just existing stuff enhanced.
New shows, new features - that's what I would pay for.
Yeah, I think they hit it off well with GB, but their other sites are pretty blah.
While I can't comment on their other sites, Screened seems really misguided. Giant Bomb got off to a huge start because it was a collection revered industry vets. Screened is headed up by Alex Nevarro and Matthew Rorie, who are both publicists and ex game journalists. Why start a movie site with game critics??
I'd shell out for additional content, but thats lame they would charge to get the Bombcast early. They might as well call it Giant Bombcast Plus.
Even though a lot of Duke's lines are ripped off from other movies, he definitely says them the best :P
That's just his base salary, I'm sure he makes another million or two with stock options and bonuses for hitting his set milestones.
I'm against $10 passes, but I also think the used market sucks for game developers. I still think they should have a three-month buffer period between when a game launches and when it can be sold used - a similar period between the theatrical release of a movie with its DVD launch.
Do want.
Based on his comments, its doesn't seem like he'll be going to any company. He seems pretty disillusioned with the industry as a whole.
I'm hoping that Killzone is essentially the Avatar of video games in that it shows devs how useful it can be - when done right.
Company of Heroes indeed.
I don't think games need to be more cinematic, but better story telling would be better.
