I was unable to play my digital games on my 360 & XBONE when XBL was under attack, however. I was able to play digital versions on my PS3 & PS4 when PSN was under attack.
There will always be physical versions of games and GameStop now offers the ability to purchase digital games. Mind you that when a flash sale occurs GameStop prices do not change, which is bad for the consumer.

Wow, theses discounts aren't that great. Kingdoms of Amalur is honestly the best deal but they've run that deal once a year pretty much since its release. I hope PSN has something better.

I was agreeing with you up to the point where you said the PS3 sucked. The PS3 did not suck. It did not get off to a good start but it never tried to be what the Xbox One tried to be at release. And this is why so many are waiting to purchase an Xbox One or purchased a PS4 first.

Stuff like this is a constant issue with most online based games. Someone happens on a bug/glitch and they take advantage of it.

I've got the Digital Guardian Edition on pre-order. I'm central time (CT) and the game wont unlock until 12am PT, which means that it will be 2am CT before the game is unlocked.
Its a bummer but I won't being playing when it unlocks anyway. Have to put in a 12 hour day on Monday to get Tuesday off. By time the game unlocks I'm going to be asleep but I already have my alarm set for 6am Tuesday morning.
