How 'You're in the Movies' is ruining Hollywood.....
'He says RE5 on 360 outsold the PS3 by 60%.'
'360 sold 938K, PS3 sold 585K'
Here's how the author is thinking/calculating, guys. PS3 sold X and the 360 sold what the PS3 did + 60% of that number additionally or
X+.6X.
In the numbers:
PS3 sold 585K.(X=585K) Xbox360 sold 938K (585K+353K=938K)
353K/585K=.60 or 60%
I got my $10.00 worth this weekend alone playing for hours with my nephew and unlocking quite a few trophies. This is an accessible game that you can play when people come over, gamers and non gamers alike.
If you own and enjoy those games on the PS3, how does those same games being available on the 360 diminish your gaming experience?
Agreed. Even some of the 'not-so-great' levels have an interesting twist or idea that maybe just wasn't implemented as well as possible, but are still able to provide inspiration for your own levels.
The only levels that I felt weren't worth a single playthrough were broken in some way.
What lack of success?
If he's correct, and that's a big if, how is the gap closing if the PS3 is outsold by 50,000 units? Doesn't that widen the margin?
The thing is, Paranoid, if we haven't heard about a title yet, I have serious doubts it can be announced at E3 09, and release in 2009 as well. I hope we get some firm dates for announced titles, but I don't expect to see some new, previously unheard of title being announced and seeing a 2009 release window.
I don't expect that there will be anything announced at E3, by any company, that we haven't heard about yet that will see a 2009 release.
All we can hope for is some firm release dates for projects we already know about, and maybe a glimpse at some future titles.
'While it is important to respect the hard work and investment that goes into creating fresh new IPs, it is important to balance their protection with a concern for privacy and civil liberties on the web.'
Is stealing a civil liberty?
Joe, my bet is the author edited the article after realizing what a stupid blunder he made. That makes a lot more sense than people typing quotes out instead of using 'copy' and 'paste', don't you think?
Agreed, it's restricted to the fanatics, the people following these type sites. The average or casual person that says, 'Oh yeah, that game, movie, whatever, looks cool I think I'm going to get it, is far different than the person combing the internet daily for 3 years prior to the release of 'whatever', sucking in every last minute detail.
The funny part is those in the 'so called media' complaining about hype are the ones who benefit the most from it. If there weren't all t...
If games before RE5 overhyped and under-delivered, then it's unfair calling it RE5 syndrome.
Maybe it should be called thegamereviews.com syndrome.
Try reading the article. It's sarcasm.
Someone who got it. *applauds*
I guess the article needed '\sarcasm' at the end, so everyone would understand.
Bubbles, Lumbo!
How long should it take to develop one of the best next gen engines?
How many years and dollars did it take to get to UE3?
There's a difference between respecting another person's right to have an opinion and respecting the content of said opinion.
'BTW PS2 has been out 5 more years more than the 360.'
So one would think it's closer to its saturation point, yet in ONE area, it outsold the 360. Which side are you arguing again?
'that means we win.'
What, did you get a trophy...err...I mean achievement? A letter from the president? A big fat check from MS or Publisher's Clearing House?
Please fill us all in on what you won, or better yet pictures.
