Really??? Wow. Thanks for that I'll have to look into it. Damn now I might have to look into it. Anyone want a Halo console?
I'd be tempted to get this 60 gig model and sell my Halo console but I know from previous experience that all my previously downloaded content will be useless offline. I'd have to be plugged into the internet all the time for my purchased arcade games and extra levels and gamerpics to work, and that's just too annoying.
Great price though!!!!
I can see giving code for these pub games for pre-orders, but to sell what really is a marketing tool is pretty sad.
Also a lot of titles they review are multi platform titles anyway, so it gives a good idea...most PS3 and 360 multis are pretty similar from what I've seen.
Split screen with a few bots can also be a lot of fun...Timesplitters was so much fun just for that.
See my comment above about the problems with online. Sure online can be great, but not having the option to play offline is just stupid.
NOTHING is better than that in-house competition~ Who cares if you are king online: you don't even know them!
I can't believe that some games (like Airborne) don't even have System Link for 360....WTF?
Not necessarily. Graphics in COD4 are great; in split screen they are still excellent.
Why is the Wii picking up so many sales? Because you can sit around with a bunch of mates or family and play against each other in Wii Sports for eg.
Games like Medal Of Honor Airborne don't even get played online anymore...it is a waste of the developer's effort and time if there is no offline multi for those who want to play anytime with friends and/or family like you can with Call of Duty. (Though why all the COD4 maps aren't included in split-screen is beyond me).
<...
Yeah I wonder if too much Batman will ruin it or even be profitable. Especially with the Dark Knight one; not sure there is much to play as really...it was more of a visual experience with good writing that may not translate well to video game.
For the PS3 we have to change power (we have much higher voltage) and we can't watch all blu-rays, but we can play all games (as they are region free). As for 360 games or packs, some are region free and some are not: EA games are not.
And you can get old Pro 360s for $388 at WOW. Who's going to buy all that kit for that price, over a hundred more than the console itself???
Stuff EA....get the next Guitar Hero...
Some of these Arcade games are really quite creative.
This isn't a duplicate story because it is Australian details!
That's just silly that renewal costs so much. Magazines drop prices for renewal to keep you, Microsoft should do the same.
I'm still not sold on the worth of Live and when it costs $80-100AUD, I'm even more reluctant to think it worth it. Sure I'd pay that if they monitored the service more and provided a more family-friendly game zone (like in the gamercards: eg. family, casual, hardcore, underground...). Some of the stuff that goes on is ridiculous.
I doubt it mate!
The best part of ALone in the Dark was the soundtrack! Seriously, sound is very important for immersion and I'm glad game-makers are making the effort.
Is the Witcher coming to consoles?
I've wondered that myself...
