Deathloop is a nice pick up for those that haven’t played it yet.
Yes and it has sold great but that does not mean the next game will surpass sales. DS3 sold well but Sekiro which was wedged between their DS3 and Elden Ring did not sale as well.
Don’t get me wrong Sony obviously understands business far more than I do. It’s just when I hear acquisition I like to see full ownership. We all know if Sony got a hold of FromSoftware the games would be even better than they are.
Sounds to me like it’s a financial investment only. Apparently they do not have any controlling stake in the company.
So if my math is correct Sony spent $122M just to own 14% of From Software. Considering they only paid $200M for all of Insomniac I’d say this is a head scratcher.

Even if they did offer all of the old CODs on GamePass it would be the campaign modes only. No way they would support all of those different servers for online multiplayer. From

They’ll be fine. A console is a long term investment. If anything raising the price of games to $70 should have done them in and yet here we are with them comfortably ahead of the comp once again.
Now it’s time to go to work on these classics.

Back in 2019 we were seeing $5,000 quarterly profit sharing checks per employee. The most recent one was $600. So yes the company is still profitable but the margins have shrunk.
Companies plan to make more year over year not the same or less.
