So let’s say they were making $1B per year. For that reason I can’t see them making COD exclusive anytime soon because they spent almost $70B on the Activision deal and the shareholders want to see an ROI sooner than the next 20 years or so.
Crows90…That is literally the most ignorant thing I’ve hearing here today and that is saying a lot. I never said that I bought games knowing that I wouldn’t play them, I said I bought games and wound up not being able to get into them like I thought I would. Sometimes I am able to get into some of them at a later date. Cyber Punk is an example of one of them. I’ve heard that it’s a great game but it has yet to grab me.

That’s not accurate. I have a nice backlog of games that I simply couldn’t get into and I paid $$$ for them. On the flip side there were some PS Plus games that I managed to get through because they grabbed my attention.
As far as I know Horizon is still just a rumor.
I think what he was trying to communicate is their intent is to acquire studios that fit their identity, as opposed to just buying them up in an attempt shift the market.
XBox was Activision Blizzards 4th largest customer. This isn’t an organic acquisition, this is a clear attempt to seize the market.
Business is business so it is what it is, but let’s not pretend that it is something else.
That was a dumb movie so expect more of the same in the game.
The problem with your argument is that it lacks facts.
1) Sony will continue make compelling single player games as they have started.
2) MS releases their exclusives day one on PC where Sony said it will be at least one year later before they hit PC. The verdict is still out on how this will impact their consoles down the line. It’s not like most have a capable faming PC.
3) PS Plus isn’t launching day one AAA exclusives like GamePass...
I could care less. The only thing that matters to me is whether or not the games are actually good. When they start releasing garbage I’m out.
