That was a dumb movie so expect more of the same in the game.
The problem with your argument is that it lacks facts.
1) Sony will continue make compelling single player games as they have started.
2) MS releases their exclusives day one on PC where Sony said it will be at least one year later before they hit PC. The verdict is still out on how this will impact their consoles down the line. It’s not like most have a capable faming PC.
3) PS Plus isn’t launching day one AAA exclusives like GamePass...
I could care less. The only thing that matters to me is whether or not the games are actually good. When they start releasing garbage I’m out.

Yes they supported it just not in the way they made it seem like they would. Hence, most PSVR owners have theirs collecting dust. I’ve been meaning to go back to play Rogue Squadron and Moss 2 but I have no desire to hook it up to the PS5 because it is such a hassle. I ordered the adapter and never used it.
It would have been nice to continue Moss 2 and Rogue Squadron on PSVR2 if you get my point.
Sony never truly supported PSVR in the way they made it seem they would. RE7 is the only main stream game that released in full VR which is ideal. Not one of their main exclusives had a complete VR mode. Everything else was pretty much short experiences with some being great and some shovel ware. By the way they never did release that Star Child game.
So yeah it is a disservice that they are making the original owners start all over again buying new games for the PSVR2.
They will need to improve the gameplay if it is going to be that long. The length of the first one was just short enough to not have the game ruin its welcome. Now with it being 2 to 3 times longer the gameplay will have to go beyond the simple stealth and cover mechanics.

I think what he was trying to communicate is their intent is to acquire studios that fit their identity, as opposed to just buying them up in an attempt shift the market.
XBox was Activision Blizzards 4th largest customer. This isn’t an organic acquisition, this is a clear attempt to seize the market.
Business is business so it is what it is, but let’s not pretend that it is something else.
