You don't think Microsoft is taking a loss on Xbox One S? I don't think Microsoft has made any kind of profit from console sales, and are probably making even less on Xbox One S. With all the constant discounts, gifts cards, extra games, free controllers, TV bundle discounts their is no way they are making any money on console hardware.

Reality check, Microsoft will have the most powerful console for a year, maybe a little more than a year, and that won't even be for another year from now, maybe more. Blu-Ray never reached sales number's that DVD format did and steadily went down in sales from peak numbers, Ultras Blu-Ray will never reach the numbers Blu-ray did. People are moving away from digital media for pretty much the reasons I described above.

Sony is focused on 4k gaming and selling 4k TV's, Oh, and selling or renting digital content. Actually a smart move to not include UBR drive, keeps the cost of the system down and focuses on gaming.

I understand why some without a 4k tv would pass but even on 1080p TV's supersampling (rendering at 4k or 2k and then downscaling) and temporal anti aliasing looks really good, nearly as good as as true 4k, especially with a screen you don't sit close to like a monitor, to be honest even on a monitor Supersampling looks really good.
