The award was not for best game publisher, it's for best published advertising. The article is not very clear. When you spend extreme amounts of money on advertising your bound to get recognized for it, for whatever reason.
Multiplatform games sell better on the other specific console too, except for maybe one game and it does not sell as well as it used to, regardless exclusives define a console more than anything else and is a imprtant deciding factor for buying a specific console for a lot of people
The 1 specific console that has nearly twice the market as the other specific console became very popular and sold very well arguably because of its exclusive games.

1. Backwards Compatibility - it's not a console seller, a lot of people say they care about but I would bet rarely if ever take advantage of it. Hasn't made any difference as far as sales of the console go.
2. Xbox Live - not a selling point, PSN and PC online play are just as good as Xbox Live in many peoples opinion.
3. EA Access - Who cares. No body makes a decision to buy...

900p is perfectly acceptable and is virtually identical in appearance to 1080p, the problem some times with Xbox One games is that they use variable resolution that drops from 900p and is blurry, that and games that are 720p on Xbox One that are truly less sharp even when upscaled.
Games that run at native 900p upscaled to 1080p look very close to true 1080p, that is true.
Most of the sales of the Xbox One S is to existing customers that have to have the latest console, doesn't increase user base.

No their is not to much too quickly in terms of hardware, PS4 slim replaces the old PS4, PS4 pro is for people with 4k tv's, PS VR is for people (40 million plus PS4 Owners) who want to experience VR, no one has to buy all of them, if your new to PS4 you either buy the slim or pro and new and current owners of PS4 have a choice weather or not to buy PS VR and with a very large install base with PS4 there is a large enough market alone to make PS VR successful.

It's a fun game, but it is unfinished (missing core bot and inaccessible dungeons) and still has technical issues. Don't know why more people aren't complaining about these issues and I don't understand Microsoft releasing a half finished game and not giving any explanation of why or what's going on with the game.

You have to give it time, for most people the VR sickness goes away unless you get it really bad (headache and nausea that last for a while), but like I said most people get their VR legs after playing for a while. If you get really sick from it, I certainly understand.
I got a little nausea with a couple VR games on my Vive but I got over it. It's kinda a mind over matter kind of thing for most.
PS VR in my opinion is better than the PC VR head sets, the screen door effect a lot less noticeable on PS VR. even graphics are on par with PC VR. Thanks to some PS VR technical magic the frame rate is equal to and some time surpasses what PC VR does, also on the comfort side PS VR wins hands down, it's much more comfortable. Sony did an amazing job with PS VR.

Gears Of War 4 is a great game, probably the best Xbox One exclusive imo, but it's not game of the year. As it stands with the year not being over yet, I would say Uncharted 4 would be game of the year imo.
