PS3 is doing much better than the 360 was doing in the same timeframe. Did the PS3 get outsold this year by 360? Sure, 360 had two price drops in Japan, two price drops in Europe and became the cheapest console in America. The only thing Xbox 360 has over the PS3 now is the headstart the 360 actually started with, Bladestar.
HD-DVD looking better than Blu-ray is so 2006. Wake up, that was three years ago.

I think what "baum" means is that it would be very unfair for Silicon Knights to keep being bankrolled by any publisher if Free Radical and Factor 5 aren't. I hope that's what he is trying to say, maybe he should have said it with a different tone though.

Anyway, face it guys, even if Fallout, Oblivion and GTAIV is "big" by your standards, it could be a lot bigger with Blu-ray. Just because Sony or other developers haven't made larger games yet (or ever) it doesn't mean it isn't an advantage and that this generation is being held back by Microsoft's choice of not upgrading from DVD9 to something else....

Upgrading your PC every 5 years to the latest of CPU, RAM and GPU specs with the best screen (I'm guessing today it would be a 2500x1600) and best sound system and OS, or upgrading your console with all the needed accesories and services plus the newest HDTV with the highest possible resolution every 5 years? Are these even optimal behaviors for getting the most out for your entertainment needs?

Square Enix used to be one of my favorites though, it used to support exclusively the best platforms. Not any more though, it seems that they'll support just about anything even if it has production defects.
I miss the Squaresoft that chose consoles for its disc storage capabilities.
And millions of dollars in marketing per title.
They meant ports, probably.
However, if I ever wanna buy a game I've never played, I'll use ebay. Out of hundreds of books I've bought from it, I've only missed two and got a refund; also, some times I've gotten even more than I bargained for by accident. So basically I've had great luck with ebay in terms of buying items.
Amazon also has a few good deals sometimes

Uh... they lost a billion in system repairs if not more, and they lost 5 billion with the first Xbox. Have they even made back a million yet? Considering they have a huge attach rate and they charge for sh1tty P2P connections, they should have made back all that money, but who knows what the hell are they doing that they still haven't made back a million.
The only thing Sony lost with the PS3 ...
