Don't you remember "Wii60"? It seems as if a lot of people forgot about that one. People wanted Sony to fail so they thought Nintendo and Microsoft joining forces would have been a really good thing. Now people hate Nintendo's products and dominance so hardcore gamers are clamoring for a PS360. But what will happen next-gen if Microsoft dominates? (hopefully not). Will people say "I want a Japanese Nintendo/Sony console"? Probably.
Competition is definitely ...
That opinion is expected from you, so nobody cares.
"bu bu bu Sony paid them..!!!"
It doesn't matter if Microsoft is a million ahead. You can see that in most charts PS3 sells around 50% more software. Couple that with the fact that more of that is third party (5/7 for microsoft vs. 4/5 for Sony), and Sony is selling almost twice the amount of third party software in Europe than 360. Couple that with the fact that European games are way more expensive than American games especially now that the American currency is weak, and you've got several 3rd party publishers reporting...
"1. the ps3 has lost over $3.31 billion in development and production. "
Hey hitler, you evidently didn't read anything I wrote, because if you had, you'd realize that my evidence is the data you actually used, except I interpreted the right way, I didn't spin it out of control like you did. The losses you are talking about are not about "PS3 development and production", the losses you are talking about are strictly about production as development costs have...
How is it that Voice of retardation has so many bubbles when he spews so much garbage? Are mods on vacation again or are they being selective? And by the way, Wii owners need to actually start buying 3rd party games, and by games I don't mean shovelware.
No more heroes, Boom Blox, de Blob, DQ Swords, etcetera are mostly flops, so go out and buy them if you want to support the Wii. Hey, if you can say something retarded, why can't I? It's so easy even you can do it.
In the end you can do anything the Wii can do on PS3 and 360, so the Wii is useless. That's why hardcore gamers hate to see a piece of garbage sell so much, because there is no R&D merit from Nintendo's part, it's all just business merit. A simple case of a company that had to look for a way to make money without having to invest a dime. The funny and sad thing is that it paid off more than actually investing billions in making a good product.
I don't blame Nintendo for Wi...
The only thing they are doing is mapping the gamecube's controls to Wiimote's control. That hardly costs anything, it probably can be done with a single programmer. These aren't remakes, they are ports. Hell, even the word port is too much of a compliment for these games, as ports in games implies that there was some work being done under the hood of the game, i.e. a minor re-working of the engine for it to work on the new console (i.e. from gamecube to PS2, from Xbox 360 to PS3, etcetera). ...
Analysts predicted that the Wii would be dead last, what makes you think analysts are right this time? In the console wars anything is possible. A long time ago SEGA was ahead of Nintendo and once Zelda ALTTP came out there was a reversal.
The problem is that there are very few good games, and the few good games are Nintendo franchises which hardcore gamers have been playing for 25 years or so, so we're really tired of hearing how Bowser will kidnapp Peach yet again or how Samus Aran will get lost in space of how Link will never say a word when Zelda gets trapped by Ganon.
Another problem is that the promise of revolutionizing games never came into fruition. They revolutionized the game industry by bringing non-g...
These teams should stop wasting their time on Sly, Ratchet and Jak and make new non-cartoony IP. I know it is to appeal to wider demographics and that they rather make sequels to "known" franchises rather than new IP but still I don't think Sony is producing enough realistic first party IP. That's not to say that Microsoft or Nintendo do, Sony does it more, but still I want moar!
That was also the amount they earned on PS2 hardware only, not everything that PS2 made in its lifetime as you Xbox guys love to imagine. The profit they made on games and royalties is still there, and it's likely a lot more (that's the point). Also, Sony is still making money off PS2 and PSP. Sony and PS3 are fine. Microsoft has yet to recover the 5 billion dollars they lost on the first Xbox, the billion dollar they lost on "insurance", and the rest of the losses they made since t...
What the hell do the words "dis" and "sence" mean? I don't undersand illiterate, sorry.
@10.7 You're pretty dumb for someone that likes to call himself "Voice of Reason". It doesn't matter what engine the game is running at, I'm talking about hardware here. Some hardware is better for physics performance, hell it's pretty much a certainty that you could do tons of more physics calculations inside the Havoc engine with the Cell processor in comparison with Wii's sh1tty hardware.
@Sidar, you're a god damned Wii fanboy, how far up your ass did Miyamoto go l...
It's about high precision physics simulation and AI. You just can't do that on the Wii as well as on PS3, hell the Wii barely does a small fraction of it (a very very small one). Those two things have an effect on gameplay. Also, you can't display as much stuff on screen (and interact with it) on Wii as you can on PS3. Simply put, Nintendo forgot to make the Wii more capable. What's the point of a new user interface if the console is just as capable as it was last-gen (except now it has the a...
If that's so then it would completely render the Wii version as null. It's probably going to be timed exclusive anyway since SEGA wants to sell as much as they can on Wii before they release it elsewhere. Expect SEGA to deny this. However, hopefully this is true so we can see this IP achieve its maximum potential.
Stop calling MGS4 a movie and calling resistance a mediocre franchise. It goes both ways.
Orange Box didn't sell on PS3 because it was a garbage port. If Left 4 Dead is good and packs additional content or supports home with its own space, it will sell. And no, it wouldn't need to be started from scratch, all the assests are done already. The only thing they would have to re-do is the way the game works inside the machine, perhaps transfer some of the graphics code to the cell processor *if* it's necessary (but if you can run L4D on PC with an OK graphics card, I don't doubt you c...
"Yeah ur life is a nite with your right hand. "
LMAO, you offended the fanboys. Hey sak, don't worry, you can do the same without fear of getting your hands cut-off if you hide at home.
