They just need to separate the "online portion" of the executable to make both parties happy. Since the main executable of the game contains the offline and online portions of the game it is all or nothing with mods - if they allow mods for the offline portion then they have no way of stopping their use in the online portion.
If R* broke the executables into two (online/offline) then they could easily allow mods for the offline portion while being able to police or ...
It's expensive because:
1) It's an Import
2) The Replica Arm is 1/1 Scale for the Japan version. The other regions have a 1/2 Scale Arm.
3) Supply/Demand - People will pay over retail and scalpers will gladly follow through
Mine were all free. I always use the webfront (since I'm at work when the store updates) and I always double check my cart total before checkout and make sure it is all zeroes.
Funny thing though, since I already owned Unfinished Swan before it was added to PS+ on the webfront it showed "100% discount with PS+" instead of saying "Free" like all the other games. When I click on it to go to the game page detail it recognizes I already own it and just giv...
You didn't watch the Bungie wipefest during the reveal did you? It didn't help they had 1/3 guys that were completely inexperienced to the PoE and didn't know what to expect, BUT this does go to show what it is like when you have PUGs and wipe over and over and over and over again.
This is not as easy as you think. The Wizards they were going against were still standing after two hits from fully leveled Gjallly's and there can be 2-3 per wave, not including al...
The story is there. The problem is that it is buried deep within the grimoire cards that require either the companion app or creating an account on Bungie.net and reading them there.
Without those cards there is not much to go on with the story missions alone. At least the gameplay (to me) is fun enough to get past some of the pitfalls.
It's beyond that. The enemies are WAY stronger even just starting out and also much greater in number. Also at higher levels the modifiers (similar to those on the nightfalls and heroic strikes plus a few new ones) get randomly applied at each stage and the objectives are randomized as well between key waves.
28 - Locked modifiers; No Weekly Lockout on rewards
32, 34, 35 - Random modifiers; Weekly Lockout on rewards (just like the Raids)
EDIT: No checkpoin...

I know it may seem useless, but click the website address under "Read Full Story" and select "WTF?" and "No". In theory if a website gets voted down enough it won't make it through the approval chain on N4G (repeat THEORY).
You still have the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises. Also, Harmonix got their croudfunding for a new Amplitude that will be coming out in the near future. Granted these are all Harmonix related; they're still music rhythm games.
That said DDR is an arcade staple and if Konami does make an exit from the gaming market there will be a significant loss of these types of games (in the arcade and at home) as well as essentially monopolizing music games to those listed above...
Playstationtrophies.org doesn't have the updated information yet, but if there is a replay or chapter option then nothing will be miss-able.
Here is the forum link if you want to keep checking back for a Trophy Guide which will inevitably get posted soon:

There are definitely Creed like elements in Mordor, BUT if you have played ANY of the Arkham games a majority of the inspiration comes from there. I'm thinking mostly from the battle perspective. While the platforming aspect (traversal, running, etc.) follows the same control scheme as Assassin's Creed the entire crux of battling borrows almost its entirety from the Batman Arkham games (reversals, chaining, specials, etc.). Also Mordor's Nemesis system is pretty unique in and of i...
@Transistor
This just goes to show how jaded people can be. Kojima would probably work for Microsoft for Infinity Billion Dollars.
Kojima has seen TOO MUCH success for his franchises and own career due to the PlayStation brand that he would never consider an option were he could not develop for it. Kojima could open an independent studio and then rely on a bigger publisher to get the game to the masses. I'm pretty sure Kojima retained some control over th...
It's because of the amount of time spent on a ship out weighed the rest making it "feel" more like a pirate game than an Assassin's Creed game. Naval was something introduced with AC3 (they were testing the waters - no pun intended) and the feed back they got from testers was enough to feature it more in the next game (AC4). I would say that what they introduced in AC3 was definitely perfected in AC4 as going back to AC3 the naval portions are just clunky in comparison.
Good movie games should complement the movies and not try to replicate them in some way or they will end up gimmicky.
The LEGO series (of games and movies) have always been satirical of themselves and the movies they are about. This has been LEGO's style and everyone gets it. The LEGO games get away with straying off the beaten path of the movies' story because it is part of the joke.
Shadow of Mordor is an example of staying true to a movie universe&...
The Library doubles as the PS4's Download List. It shows ALL PS4 content associated with your account and under "Related Items" for each game is the downloadable content you've purchased (and sometimes a link to the store for the ones you haven't).
At least this list is sortable and can be limited to Games, Apps, or All, and then Alphabetic or Install Date. The download list for the PS3 and Vita (or through the web-based PSN storefront) are not CLOSE to ...
Or do like they did on the console versions and send them all to their own pit of hell. Put all the online modders and cheaters on their own "dunce cap" server. It's better than banning because the cheaters cheat each other and ruin their own experience and will stop playing online with cheats out of pure rage.
@thekhurg
An old Japanese saying pretty much sums up your comment (I'm paraphrasing as I can't remember it word for word):
"Focus on one thing and you will succeed, focus on many things and you will fail all of them."
That is exactly what Sony did with their PS4 messaging pre and post launch.
I don't think they'll change the PS3 anymore. The cheap plastic-y Super-Slim is it. If you remember the PSOne and the final PS2 Slim you'd get the same feeling. Both of them were small and plastic-y.
My only issue with the Super-Slim PS3 is that it is much noisier than the Slim due to the spinning disc. Because of the thin plastic drive door versus an enclosed slot loading drive there is much less noise dampening.

The exclusive maps, Strikes, and weapons were timed. I cannot remember the exact length, but I do believe Bungie stated somewhere that all PS Exclusive content will be exclusive for a year.
Now here is the burning question...
Is it exclusive for a year from each piece's initial release OR does the year start once the final piece releases?
If it is the latter, than Xbox players won't see Monte Carlo for a LONG while.
It was never on Plus. It did get some insane discounts and sales though (some made greater by Plus). You might have bought it at a huge discount with PS+ (I did).
@StevenSeagul
Not to be insulting, just throwing this technicality out there.
Obtaining the BIOS images needed for said emulators to work DOES border on piracy and being illegal. Theoretically if you dumped the BIOS from your OWN PS2 to use with the emulation program you would still be in the legal territory, however using a BIOS that someone else dumped and is distributing via filesharing/torrents is technically considered illegal. Sony is not going to come ...
