The Wii was more of an anomaly than the PS4.

The PS4's success is just due to the wake left by Microsoft's poor handling of the Xbox One's reveal and launch and its anti-consumerism fallout. Microsoft is making strides to correct their mistakes, but worldwide sales don't lie and many people refuse to forget.

Now about the WiiU...yeah. That console needs some movement.

Other than being open world, the similarities stop there. Why are people even trying to compare the two?

If it is an argument of graphical fidelity, this is still not an apples to apples comparison because both games have their own respective art styles that lend to their looks.

People need to stop being argumentative hypocrites and just be happy there is another Fallout game coming and it is NOT an MMO (ESO sealed the Fallout MMO concept's fate) - Fallou...

For games like this I only would get them on PC for the sake of mods.

I'm still primarily a console gamer for most of my gaming needs. RTS's and moddable games (Fallout, Skyrim, GTA, etc.) are reserved for the PC. Everything else I get for console due to convenience. I'm not too much of a stickler for having to have "insane" graphics - it just needs to be acceptable and Fallout 4 is plenty acceptable to me and I'm proud Bethesda didn't reduce to ...

Highly agree. The atmosphere of Fallout 3 and New Vegas just kept me playing and wanting more and more to search every nook and cranny - read every log entry - even to go so far to read additional story background on the wikis. Skyrim on the other hand (while massive) just didn't have the same atmosphere - it never could keep me as engaged as Fallout did.

There is just something about the 50's "World of Tomorrow" thing Fallout has going for it. It just draws...

Retail game installs vary from 10-15GB all the way up to 50GB+. A flash-only system would just not be economical or possible.

People filled their stock 500GB PS4's pretty quickly with a few games; you can only guess how fast a 128GB SSD (the cheapest possible "workable" option) would fill up. A 500GB+ SSD option would make the system cost WAY too much and no one in their right minds would buy it.

Yep. The Weekly Heroic awards guaranteed amounts of Strange Coins (up to 9).

The Nightfalls being much harder award Legendaries to Exotics (armor and weapons), materials (though less common since HoW launched), or a whopping 12 Strange Coins. Exotics have a ridiculously high drop chance for NF rewards compared to anything else that can reward Exotics, though once you have a good chunk of all the Exotics the chances of getting dupes goes WAY up making the Nightfall reward less...

I'm not going to disagree that all modes need some form of matchmaking, BUT KyRo has some points.

I've run VoG a few times myself and numerous Nightfalls and trust me when I say it would be a whole new level of hell doing those with PUGs that (1) barely meet the level requirement, (2) have NO mics or form of communication besides dancing and waving, and/or (3) no experience or weapons that would prove to be any use. It is one thing to wipe over and over again on a Str...

@rainslacker

Hard drives do get surprisingly hot. How hot varies wildly between manufacturers and models of drives, but in general 3.5" drives run hotter than 2.5" drives. I work in computer repair and have had numerous hard drives (various sizes and types) running on an external enclosure to recover data and after a few hours they do get very hot - not necessarily enough to burn you, but enough to be very noticeable.

Even though that area of the sy...

@bumnut

Cost per GB is a little less on 3.5" drives vs 2.5" drives and the capacity cap is much higher (the main reason people want this).

Personally I would avoid this not because it looks like a pimple (it does), but because 3.5" drives generate quite a bit of heat and require more power to run than 2.5" drives. I already suspect this enclosure provides the extra power needed by 3.5" drives, but does it also include additional airfl...

He was in the guy's bubble. Most likely he was blinded. It is interesting to note that you had two bubbles overlap each other (one from each team) - in theory in the overlap area everyone is screwed and gets blinded/suppressed. This is why he lured the other titan to the edge of his own bubble and Bruce Lee'd him - once the other titan died his bubble disappeared.

I'm pretty sure the season pass was 25% of the final retail value (aka 75% off) of all the content.

If you are able to get the game for $20-30 (or whatever other equivalent in your local currency) with the season pass you'll be getting one hell of a deal well under the original launch price. For the amount of content, even if you bought it at the original launch price with the pass it is still a great deal.

@kayoss

There definitely isn't enough space if you collect every exotic for all your characters and have every unique legendary from Iron Banner, Raids, Trials, and the Prison. Just the unique Raid legendaries and the Exotics will push the limits.

As far as Armor, I keep at least one Legendary of each type so I can switch between an Exotic Helmet, Gauntlets, Boots, or Chest Piece as needed. I also have kept any unique Raid or Story related armor (eg. Eris...

Limiting for the raids though is pointless because (1) using the companion apps or apps like Tower Ghost and DIM (Destiny Item Manager) allow you to move items to and from the vault from all your characters no matter where you are so you can just grab more from the vault as needed and (2) there is a timed lockout on synths and glimmer boosts so you can't use one after another after another in quick succession (synths have a 5 minute cooldown).

Because the cooldown is alre...

I never understood the insane decision to limit item stacks on certain items. Synths being limited to 20 and materials to 200 while Class materials and Weapon parts can go to seemingly infinity blows my mind.

Bungie REALLY needs to allow ALL like items to stack continuously - no more dupes. Even a 16-bit value unsigned (tiny even for an SQL database) would limit each item to 65,535 (MORE than enough for ANY item in Destiny). The limit doesn't even need to be that high; at...

The season pass was the only way to buy the DLC. At $15 a piece it was far more reasonably priced - slightly expensive in the case of Dark Below, but worth in the case of House of Wolves.

Activision is to blame for the pricing, just look at their pricing model for their other games and you'd understand. Maybe once "comet" releases they'll lower the price or do a bundle deal on TDB/HoW - maybe Sony/Microsoft will step up and run them both with PS+/XBLG discou...

"Oh wait a second they were never fans of you in the first place. They were Kojimas fans and you had to axe him."

Pretty much. Kojima was single handily floating that company's console business with his games. Yeah they had some other games besides Kojima's Metal Gear (DDR, Beatmania, Silent Hill, etc.), but Kojima's games, while expensive productions, were all commercial successes (even more so over a long run with additional sales and remasters).

NoScript actually made WhatCulture bearable. Again, it may seem useless on this site, but if you don't like the story or website you can vote them down by clicking on the "+" next to the website name under "Read Full Story".

It's funny because the Striker's grenade (if well placed) is one of the most overpowered grenades in the game (both in PvE and PvP).

The Defender class has its uses in PvE (and a little in PvP depending on the mode) but the class is super weak with what few offensive abilities it does have - the grenades are borderline useless. The Hunter and Warlock have grenades in BOTH subclasses that have a much larger area of effect (and ones with tracking too).

Watch out for the new exploding Shanks. Those suckers are mega deadly with Arc Burn. There are 1-2 phases of them during the Tank phase of the strike. People tend to forget about the Sniper Vandals at the back of the room (they start appearing around 50% health on the Tank).

The only thing difficult about this strike is that there are not too may "safe" areas compared to other strikes (especially in the Tank section). With a decent team covering each ones' back ...
