Some of the stupidly expensive 16TB storage solutions you may have found were NAS'es. NAS enclosures have proprietary software that you are shelling serious money for. Some are made from numerous SSDs combined together (VERY EXPENSIVE). Also some have mirroring meaning you actually have much more than 16TB (or whatever the stated capacity) of combined space between drives, but some of the drives are used for duplication (mirror) and/or as "hot spare...

1. PSN ID Name Changes

2. Lack of YouTube app for PS4
[Don't Care - This is also up to Google to develop NOT Sony, Sony just approves the final product]

3. Game gifting on PSN
[I don't do this, so again it wouldn't phase me]

4. Lack of Spotify app
[I loathe Spotify, so...yeah...don't care]

This is Ubisoft we're talking about. If you have played ANY of the Assassin's Creed games that have an economy system built-in, money becomes no object about a third of the way into the game. Really it becomes a personal challenge to see how high you can get your "bank" before you finish everything in the game.

The author is complaining that, to him at least, the PS4 has been getting indie titles instead of "newer" big games and fears the service trending to offering only indie titles.

We are WAY too early in the PS4's life span to have big hitters start appearing on PS+. The reason the PS3 got big games like Arkham City and Bioshock Infinite is because the list of BIG games available is quite large on the PS3 and having these big games available on PS+ doesn't det...

I tend to use female avatars in many games due to the armor/speed options they usually have over male avatars. Call it a crutch or whatever you like, but if the option is there to take advantage of I'll use it.

Case and point...in Demon's Souls it was most beneficial to start the game out as a female Royal due to the starting equipment and other bonuses. Of course, 30% of the way in it doesn't matter who or what you choose as all classes eventually become equal an...

The problem with the WiiU's gamepad is not lack of innovation, but more that "is it worth the cost of entry?". The gamepad is the reason for the console's price tag and lack of power under the hood (to balance the price -- Nintendo had to choose either a decently powerful console matching the PS4/XBO and no gamepad or one on par with the PS3/360 but with the gamepad).

Lack of developer support only exacerbates the downfall of the gamepad and the system. And ...

I do the same thing. I was astonished by how small the DS3 was after having used the DS4 for a few months.

My only problem with the DS4 is the D-Pad is a little harder on the thumbs than the DS3's D-Pad. I noticed this while playing Skull Girls on the PS3 with the DS4.

Price goes down with volume produced and sold. Sony can and probably will drop the price after a year has passed - especially if Microsoft's actions force it. How much they drop is debatable, but I'd bet after a year of sales (even at their initial $18-20 profit margin) between the profits they make from licensing and also the increased profits on the system due to reduced production costs (again this goes down with volume produced and sold as well as lessen...

PS3 early adopters were also BluRay player early adopters.

I think you forget that comparable Blu-Ray players to the PS3 at launch were over DOUBLE the price! So, yeah $600 was a bargain at the time. The only people who got ripped off were the impatient ones who bought PS3s from scalpers at near $1000.

The PS3 is STILL one of the best Blu-Ray players out there, being BR Spec 2.0 compliant, having decent load times for movies, and still some of the best playba...

Technically they have price dropped the Vita ($50 in value between the Game and 8GB card). I wouldn't doubt that after a month or so they will debundle the Slim Vita to a standalone package for $20-$30 less. It would be nice to see a system only at $150 with a 4GB card, but this is probably a pipe dream.

They only price drops the Vita really needs is on memory cards. Drop $10-$20 across the board and bring the 64GB cards to the rest of the world so we can stop having to i...

^^ This ^^

Cartridges were part of the PS1's success and its lack of using them. While Nintendo chose to stick with them with the N64, Sony came into the market with CD's that were insanely cheaper and quicker to produce than circuit boards.

As a result, gamers at the time were posed a choice:
Buy a system with average game prices in the $80 range, $50 being your "bargain" price range.
or
Buy a system with average gam...

Under "Read Full Story" there is the website name. Click the little "+". Under Story Qualtiy select "WTF?" and under Like this website select "No".

VGCharts is already 1.5/3 stars. In my opinion it should be banned. They base numbers off pure speculation and hearsay. It's just as bad as a "News" piece from a random blog.

Having played the previous UT's, this becoming FTP and living off user created content is no surprise.

With online becoming more ubiquitous, Unreal Tournament has become less dependent on bots and single player campaigns and more dependent on online multiplayer.

I wouldn't be surprised if UT4 had zero single player/bot campaign play (short of tutorials for each mode) and you only could play it online with other people. There is nothing wrong with this...

"did anyone ever doubt the game will show at E3?"

Show: No. No doubts at all.
Playable: Yes we have doubts. Hopefully they will show more gameplay and have it setup in the booths with at least a limited demo.

I had no doubts myself that it was still PC. It's just a way of getting people to click on the article.

Personally I'm getting this for the PC for modding reasons alone. Modding was all the fun with Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Plus mods allowed me to fix and work around many of the game breaking glitches that took forever to get fixed. I fully expect Fallout 4 to have many of the same issues Fallout 3 and New Vegas had (more so if the scale goes up on world size and numb...

Just imagine what the Xbox One would have been like without ESRAM...pretty much the same as the PS4 but with DDR3 (read this as atrociously slow) instead.

Microsoft made a conscious decision to sacrifice some of the APU space (the GPU portion in this case) to add ESRAM in an attempt to make up the speed difference between DDR3 and GDDR5. This decision was made on the assumption that the PS4 was going to have 4GB of GDDR5 though, meaning they would have still had a capacity ad...

No.

Broadcasting is the reason for the demand. Not motion games. Not voice control. Broadcasting.

There is no reason for the camera to be a forced accessory, especially when it is VERY expensive to make. The Wii got away with its motion and tracking (the sensor bar + IR cameras in each controller) in EVERY console because it was cheap and had no effect on the final overall price of the console.

The Kinect 2.0 and the PS4 Camera are by no mean...

Hiroshi Yamauchi is the largest shareholder (individual or otherwise) and he's even more ancient than Iwata (well dead at this point). Yamauchi's beneficiaries probably have too much trust and faith left in Iwata to turn around and tell him to wal...

"Microsoft's Bill Gates doesn't care about the gaming division. Xbox is doomed."

Wasn't the first Xbox a pet project of Gates'?

It's a pretty sad state if the "father" of the Xbox doesn't care if the division was sold off. Bill truly must be looking at it from a financial point of view. The Bing and Xbox divisions aren't bearing the fruit they thought they would. Between this, Elop, and the lack of interest in t...

The funny thing is that even though entertainment has taken a backseat on the PS4, Sony is still slowly incorporating it back in much like they did with the PS3. Sure it may not be the DVR pass through cable box the Xbox One is, but it already has access to many digital entertainment avenues that trump the need to be a cable box.

Microsoft has made too many mistake...
