I finally got around to creating the other two classes just in case this happens. It would suck for my first character, but it means that I'll have a head start on the other two. I have some pretty decent mid-level 16ish items in storage already for both of them once they get high enough.
@dieger
Actually, with Destiny the real rewards exist in the Strikes and Raids, of which the highest level ones that give the better rewards require the most cooperative effort.
You can run and gun all you want, but those that pace themselves and work with good teams will progress with leaps and bounds. The competitive PvP will not reward you as fast as the co-op PvP/PvE.
For me it is the leveling aspect and bounties. I really wish that bounties refreshed hourly or at least every 2-3 hours so I can keep doing them. They're like crack. I guess if they had bounties renew this often though there would need to be a much larger variety of them (I don't think there is much more than 20 of each type - PvE, PvP, and Special Event).
I'm not worried much about loot and I just live with whatever I get through natural progression. I guess I...
Those guys are always there though they take forever to respawn once killed (unless you orbit out and back in). There are also three at the bottom floor of the bunker in the forgotten shores area. Be careful because one of them is a named yellow lvl 18 and will take some time to kill solo.
These two spots are great for the kill 10 hive ultras bounty as you get 6 per pass (3+3). Orbit out and repeat once more, bounty complete.
I laughed my ass off when a lvl 4...
The ONLY reason to do anything like this in my option is to glimmer farm. It's mind numbing but you could rack up glimmer, weapon parts, and armor material (Hadronic Essence, Plasteel Plating, and Sapphire Wire) relatively quickly. Let's face it...you'll get an absurd number of greens and a few blues (all 1-2 weapon parts / 1 armor part when scrapped unleveled). Still...mind numbing though.
If you are lucky to get duplicate Legendaries you could scrap them for the...
"An emotional but amazing ending."
I was going to simplify and just say "an end", but this works.
I don't want to see Uncharted get dragged out over numerous games (technically 3 of them was fine - not counting the Vita game). If the 4th will bring some closure so Naughty Dog can bring something brand new and fresh to the table with the same level story telling and graphical prowess, then bring it. Please just let this be the last one....
It should be noted (at least in the US) you can start playing at midnight PACIFIC TIME. I'm in the Central Time Zone and couldn't play Destiny or SS: First Light until 2am my time day of release. I think this is because the US servers are primarily based on the west coast.
For DriveClub, Evolution mentioned they had been working with primarily Thrustmaster wheels and those are going to most likely be the first if not only compatible.
Gran Turismo has traditionally used Logitech's wheels, so that series has better compatibility.
With DriveClub being more "arcadey" wheels and chairs may be overkill.
I still have a Logitech Driving Force Pro that I got almost a decade ago (for like $25 as a clearance...
@Kneon
Yes there are diminishing returns for scrapping weapons and armor that require materials for their upgrades, BUT you can ignore those upgrades and still fully level the weapon/armor and then scrap it for more materials. Just concentrate on upgrades that are free or only require glimmer if you are never going to use the weapons or armor.
Greens are normally maxed with a single bounty turn in (some weapons take two).
Blues get maxed in 3-4 bounti...
I'm with WombBat. When doing bounties before I turn them in I quickly equip any unleveled gear (even if I plan to trash it) and earn the experience for it. Don't waste ANY experience, always equip unleveled gear. Turn in one bounty, check your gear for upgrades, switch out anything that has maxed, and turn in the next bounty and repeat the whole process (you can do all of this without leaving the vendor).
You get more materials from leveled gear than unleveled gear. F...
I didn't see any of the preorder cars (unless the non-skinned versions were there). Also more cars will be released in DLC as well as part of the Season Pass (usually all the preorder bonus DLC is included with the Season Pass for games and short of the preorders there is no other way to get ALL preorder DLC for most games).

I got Super Good Advice the other night myself. Leveling these suckers up takes some time though and a bit of Ascendant Energy farming.
I chose the machine-gun over the Fusion Rifle and one other because it was the fastest Exotic Bounty for me to complete, I didn't have to do ANY PVP (Crucible), and it was for a weapon I would actually use quite often.
If I had a chance for an Exotic Hand Cannon I would have been all over it like a fly on $&*#. When I...
@Conzul
You can either use the companion app (like kneon), bungie.net, or destinytracker.com.
Personally I think Destiny Tracker is neat in that you can preview armor shaders on your character before buying them in the game.
Armor Shader Preview:

"Key difference is workflow and entity/game object management. Everything else comes down to shaders."
This. Chickey should have also mentioned particles. Some engines handle different particle effects better or worse than others.
Many custom engines made by studios (such as the Fox Engine and Ubi's Anvil) are customized to suit their hardware, needs, and developer's abilities. This means optimizations for better effects in some cases, while...

"This game has some mechanics that make it addicting as hell."
It's that MMO-crack baby. Too bad the first one wasn't free, unless you count the Alpha and Beta as being the "first one".
I still find it hard calling Destiny a full out MMO though. It's MMO-esk, but there are not massive city arenas with thousands of players. There is not an almost unending stream of quests (unless you consider the &quo...
As far as the subject of underage children playing games (and obtaining games) the are rated well above their age group, this in not a problem of the rating system (as long as the game is properly and fairly rated), the stores that sell the games (though they should be asking), the game developers themselves, but the PARENTS.
PARENTS or those forking over money for the T/M/Pegi-18/Pegi-13/etc. rated games in the first place are the FINAL line of defense and the final chain in...
@Scotty
17-18GB was the initial download size. Some textures and audio may get uncompressed during install ballooning the size up to 20GB.
On a side note about the patch, I already have it downloaded and installed. If you purchased the Day-1 digital versions it also downloads the Day-1 patch. The "Season Pass/Expansion Pass" and Vanguard content also get downloaded.
And it's not just NaughtyDog, but many of Sony's first party studios. This is the factor that sets Sony's first party apart from Nintendo or Microsoft. Sony understands the "philosophy of create" and the need to share information so creation and innovation can flourish.
There is no point to holding programming techniques back and making them proprietary secrets. All this does is stifle innovation.
Sony even formed their ICE Team in order...
Look at the availability of the Collectors and Limited editions at different retailers for different versions. The PS4 versions of both are COMPLETELY sold out everywhere (at least in the US). Hell, they were sold out on Amazon MONTHS ago.
So, judging by the one-side pre-orders I'm not surprised by this "survey" even if it's not the most unbiased survey that it could be.
Also given the the PS4 is around 2-1 versus the XBO on install-base, th...
The Street Fighter with Jean Claude was SO BAD that it was actually kind of good. Seriously, it was almost satire. I can't stand the more recent live action attempt at Street Fighter, but the older one is entertaining and some fun to watch. It was never too serious about itself and again comes off almost as satire.
Now the anime versions of Street Fighter are actually pretty good and tend to stick closer to whatever lore the Street Fighter games have created.
