The "please use Scout Rifles patch". Why are we getting weapon nerfs across the board when they have no issue in PvE, just PvP?
"The Order could be finished in 5 hours" with planning. Any person playing the game at a normal pace will take longer. If you gun your way through and are constantly hitting the run button at every chance, then yes you'll finish the game quicker...and YES this is considered a speed run. Just because you can't skip the cutscenes does not mean you can no longer label it a speed run.
A speed run by definition is finishing a game as fast as humanly possible give...

Some people are fine with refurbs. I personally do not trust them. Also with only a few games that I want, dropping anything over $200 requires a lot of careful consideration on my part. Here is the end all to end all, I am not in a rush like some people. Yes, the WiiU will most likely be my second console for this generation (the Wii was for the previous one), but again with only a handful of games that interest me I'm not scrambling over getting one immediately ...
"no the real problem is you're too poor to afford it."
Come talk to me when you have real bills. I'm sorry that I am an actual adult with utility bills, car payments, student loans, and rent to pay. I have enough income for one system for a majority of each generation and have to wait for prices to come down and enough incentive to justify what I spend. I have priorities.
Also, senseless N4G disagrees to an opinion. Typical.
The problem is $300 is too much for the price of entry for me. The only games I really want are Wind Waker HD and Hyrule Warriors (not enough to drop $300 for). Sure I would probably get Mario Kart, but beyond that nothing else catches my interest. Unless a completely new Metroid or the teased new Zelda game come out, I'm holding off for a really good bundle deal or a $200-250 price point (more $200, at $250 I would still be hesitant).
Doubtful. The most expensive bit is programming the NFC chips (comparatively). Yes, the FIRST model is expensive due to design costs, but once plastic figurines go into mass production, scale reduces their costs considerably. Even if it takes 50 steps to make a figurine, if you can produce an infinite number without any breakdown of the molds (molds for plastics tend to be metal and don't degrade like silicone/resin molding) your cost of production scales down very quickly (almost to the ...

Agreed. If you used a wiki and got used to enemies types and positions, everything was fairly easily beatable. If you haven't buffed up certain attributes you still had to avoid direct conflict with certain enemies, but there was a strategy for almost every occasion. For the first and second playthrough though if you got all the attributes between 30-40 you could pretty much tank through everything.
As far as Dark Souls, the games overall are...
Burn can be good and bad. It depends on the weapons you have collected and regularly use and your play style. If you have a good set of Arc, Solar, and Void weapons (preferably some that are switchable like Murmur [Arc/Solar]), you can get by with no burns if you pay attention to the shield color of enemies and quickly switch to the appropriate weapon. If you are lucky to have an elemental primary (usually only available from the Raids as rewards), you can easily cater your heavy and secondar...
It may be my internet connection or my PS+ sub with background updates, because I rarely notice updates downloading and installing.
Usually if I get a new game, the patch (if there is one) has installed before the game itself has finished installing (the pre-install that occurs within the XMB/Dashboard after you insert the disc, not the ones that occur in some games when you first run them).
@Bennibop
"No idea why you would want a the plus version when you pick up the game new for £15."
Self entitlement. That is it. Two words. Can't sum it up any more.
The game is cheap and many got enough from Share Play or broadcasters to make their decision to buy the game. The only people clinging to the free PS+ edition are ones who weren't planning on buying the game in the first place. They can make all the excuses they want,...

Remember, this is Japan. Japan is a mobile culture. Products like the 3DS and the Vita tend to do pretty well because people are always on the move in Japan, be it on public transportation to walking through the streets. Really it is more of a surprise how well the PS4 is doing considering the decline of home consoles to mobile gaming (3DS, Vita, and cellular).
The Vita is only doing poorly in the US and to some degree Europe due to poor advertising...
Share play my friend.
The important bit is in the base. The NFC chip (similar to an RFID tag) is all that is needed for the NFC functionality. The rest of the figure is just useless plastic that is given artificial value.
There is so little required for the NFC, that it can be done with cheap cards (think like trading cards, but with a chip embedded), something that Nintendo has been rumored as planning to release.
You can't solo because setting your Fireteam setting to "Private/Invite only" has no effect on Strikes with matchmaking. However, you can already have a Fireteam of 3 people and bypass the matchmaking. If you and one friend are in a Fireteam you will still get matched with one more person to fill out to 3 though.
Personally I would rather not solo the Heroic if I had to. Yes I did it with Omnigul, but it was one of the hardest most nerve racking things I've ...
I didn't include or mention the art book, because it isn't worth mentioning. It's value is negligible. Other than being a coffee table reader it serves no purpose. Steelbooks are more durable and stand up better over time. The soundtrack (if soundtracks are your thing) can be listened to over and over again. In the case of Demon's Souls its strategy guide was actually really useful to get many people started with the game (the wiki's were ultimately better, but even they s...
Other than the Steelbook and soundtrack, there is little reason to get the Collector's edition. There's no extra DLC, special figurines, or ala Demon's Souls a mini-strategy guide. I'm a fan of Steelbooks, but unless there is more to justify $20+ more over the standard version I'll just stick with the $60 one. Why can't every Collector's version include something like a Season Pass for that $20 extra (with everything else of course)? Give me at least $40 worth of s...
Theoretically, USB3.0 is faster, but not all USB3.0 drives are created equally. Have you ever disassembled an external hard drive? Most external hard drives are still SATA on the inside with a USB3.0 wrapper around them. Some drive manufacturers can cheap out and only use a SATA I or II bridge (or drive) on the inside thus completely defeating ANY speed advantages you'd get with USB3.0. They could also cheap out and use a really low quality "green" drive, but that is a different...
It's about time. The weekly heroic is not NEAR as bad as the nightfall. Nightfall is understandable to have the need to play with a pre-organized group, because everyone dies it's a total wipe, but with the heroic you just checkpoint. Also, the Heroic Strike usually only has 2-3 modifiers (Juggler and Angry have been pretty popular) and is usually a lower level than the nightfall (the difference between lvl28 and lvl30 is a lot for lower level players).
USB has limitations compared to native SATA. Also, SSD's for your primary storage space that has the OS (or in the case of the XBO OSes) on it are out of the running as an option.
SSD's while expensive are coming down in price fairly quickly. You can (if you don't mind paying $0.50 - $0.60 per GB) get a 2.5in 1TB SSD that the PS4 (or PS3) won't have one single issue with you using - more space AND performance. Do that to your Xbox One and you'll (1) void A...
They are trying to get people to use Scout Rifles more, hence the range reduction on the Hand Cannons and Auto Rifles. This sucks as the best armor I have right now gives bonuses to Auto Rifles and Fusion Rifles (more ammo and fast reloading) and both those categories got nerfed.
Such a cost for a heavy ammo fix and Weekly heroic matchmaking.
