"And if you want to add sales from both systems then you should know animal crossing ds sold over 20 million"
Did you really just make up a number and not think anyone would fact check it?? Animal Crossing:Wild World sold 11.75 million.

That isn't what happened at all. Kotaku had a very good article about what happened with Destiny 1 and all of the bad choices were solely Bungie's fault. It was Bungie that butchered the story and removed story arcs and cut-scenes, not Activison. Let us also not forget that after Bungie butchered Destiny 2 that it was Activision's studio Vicarious Visions that stepped in and fixed most of the mistakes made by Bungie.

It will probably get added before matchmaking for raids. Destiny players have only been asking for that since launch 4 years ago.
Players in Black Ops 4 complained and wanted a solo que added. 2 weeks after launch Treyarch added one.
Since launch Destiny 2 players have been wanting a solo que. 1 1/2 years later Bungie still hasn't added one.
But yeah, lets blame Activision for Destiny's faults...
The PS4 never broke Wii's records for fastest selling yet it is easily going to sail past Wii's total sales. Just goes to show that this isn't a sprint, but a marathon.
@D3TH_D33LR
Like I said, you didn't even read the Kotaku article you mentioned. Not only does it specifically say that the microtransactions were Bungie's idea, but also that they came about from the fact that Bungie - a studio of 700 people - messed up Destiny 1 so bad that they were not able to patch it and make new content at the same time. 700 people and somehow they couldn't get the job done. Makes one wonder how many people they originally planned to ma...
You mention the Kotaku article in your second post but I don't think you actually read it. According to it, the problems and failings of Destiny are all Bungie's fault. I never understood why some Bungie fans cannot accept that the studio isn't as talented as they think it is. Bungie butchered the story. Bungie added the microtransactions. Destiny 2 was only made better once Activision tasked 2 of their studios to help clean up Bungie's mess.

Yes, there is a time frame. In April 2017, Phil Spencer said "As an industry, I want to make sure both narrative-driven single-player games and service-based games have the opportunity to succeed." Since then, like it has been repeatedly pointed out, Microsoft has done almost nothing to make sure single-player games succeed and have only published a single single-player game in 3 years. They have published many GaaS in that same time though. Phil ...

"Interesting enough, QB, Recor, Cuphead, Gears, Halo, Crackdown, games that oddly enough have single player campaigns. But yeah...MS is not giving anything enough for SP games to succeed."
These are the examples you want to use that I am wrong with saying that since Phil Spencer made that statement in 2017 MS hasn't been supporting single-player games?

@The Wood
That is correct and hopefully there is a change of direction. I just personally am holding off judgement on this new direction until we actually see the games these studios are making under Microsoft. They could be single-player narrative driven games or we could see repeats of what happened with Rare and Lionhead Studios.
@gangsta_red
Problem is nobody is taking Phil Spencer's quote out of context, although you attempted to take Mark Cerny's quote out of context. Phil Spencer did say that SP games no longer have the same impact - yet Detroit: Become Human, God of War, and Spider-Man all broke sales records this year. Phil Spencer also said he wants to make sure narrative-driven single-player games have the opportunity to succeed. Since saying that in 2017 Microsoft has published 1...
@gangsta_red
The problem is that you continue to not understand or distort what both Spencer and Cerny are saying. When Spencer says "but they don’t have the same impact that they used to have because the big service-based games are capturing such a large amount of the audience" how does one explain that with 9 million sales Spider-Man would be the 4th best selling PS3 game and and the 5th best selling PS2 game? If big service-based games are such a good busines...
Seems like you don't understand that quote or are deliberately trying to make a false comparison. Phil Spencer was talking about single player games while Mark Cerny was talking about the single-player experience.
"Right now you sit in your living room and you're playing a game by yourself – we call it the sp mission or the single-player campaign. In a world with Facebook I just don't think that's going to last."
Cerny pointed t...
You haven't heard anyone mention PSVR because you are deaf. Also probably blind, since the PS Store has quite a few demos on it including both PSVR Demo discs.
You should see a doctor and get properly diagnosed for you infirmities. I hear this guy is pretty good.

I read the article just fine which is why I understand the point the author was making and the context he was using in saying that the PSVR is a console. He talked about all the things that XBox, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch were doing that made them great consoles to buy and then transitioned into why PSVR is also a great console to buy and the merits that backed that claim up. He could of easily said that the PS4 was the must-own console of 2019 and then explain how PSVR makes that so...
"That's the job of the writer. I didn't disprove anything. The terminology used was just wrong. If they had called it the best device, or best VR headset, etc., I wouldn't have really cared. But they called it a console which isn't true or accurate." The thing is that the actual title of the article was "PlayStation VR is a Must-Own Platform for 2019" but since you never read it you just complained about the title used on n4g.

@darthv72
The thing is that porkChop only wanted it called an accessory in order to destroy the premise that PSVR was the must-own item of 2019. He wasn't offering any better titles for the article but instead was trying to disprove the whole concept. He could of easily offered to correct it by saying a more accurate title was "the PS4 is the must have console of 2019 and that is because of PSVR."
Here is a sampling of porkChop past commen...
@porkChop
What is amusing is that you also through a fit in another article that said that PSVR was the must-own console of 2019. Basically, in your view one cannot praise PSVR as a piece of hardware nor can one praise it as a piece of software. Given your comment history, it isn't really surprising to see you downplaying something that Sony makes.
Try as you might, you cannot change the fact that PSVR is the thing that is driving VR forward these ...
No ESRB description will ever beat Borderlands 2. It was better than any ad for the game.

It is sad how people people think Activision had anything to do with this. Destiny 2 had skill based matchmaking at launch. Then Bungie broke it. Some players liked it broken. Some hated it. 6 months later, Bungie finally did something with the system they broke.
