It's a good discussion, and the real answer will be how many people buy the first DLC for Destiny 2. For me Destiny 2 was the last chance to impress. Am i alone there? I don't know. Time will tell.
Yes people will be back. But if they are back for shorter number of weeks each time, eventually it won’t be worth the purchase. Clan used to play 2-3 months with every new release, we played Destiny 2 for 2-3 weeks. Faith in Bungie is gone
What endgame? The nightfall and raid once a week? Same thing as Destiny 1, literally nothing new to do, considering they hyped up all of the new things we can do. Game lacks purpose big time

I'm giving up hope for the franchise. I thought they were going to have a huge world with lots of npcs and lore. Instead we get the same game with a linear story about the cabal, which nobody asked for.
Fortnite is great. Nobody is complaining, more like calling people out on their BS when they say how much better it is than PUBG when they haven't played PUBG for 1 minute.

Other way around. PS4 gamers are the ones trying to spin here, stating that Fortnite is BETTER than PUBG. Which is not the case for the majority who have played both games.
I feel like most commenters trying to drum up praise for Fortnite BR are forgetting it's FREE. I talked 4 of my friends into getting it for free. If it was 5 dollars they would have zero interest, lol. That 7 million might be 1M if the game cost 30 bucks. It's a silly comparison but i guess it tells the story some people are looking for.
Jaguar, unfortunately it's about zero chance they release at same time. Microsoft has a lot of resources behind this game. Wouldn't surprise me if they are buying as much of a timed exclusivity deal as they can get, due to their lack of games from 1st party.
I don't think there's more options or features. There's no vehicles, no armor, less guns, and no character customization. Are you a playstation gamer by chance? I see a lot of hate toward PUBG since it's (timed?) exclusivity. Both very fun games, i feel that PUBG has a bit higher learning curve.
I play multiplats and shooters. The xbox controller is all i need =)
I pre-order because it's a free option that often comes with a benefit such as discounted price vs what you pay at launch. Decide i don't want it, i cancel the pre-order.
It has a great campaign and polished world. Aside from that it’s the exact same game with a coat of paint. I have to ask why it’s the same classes, same enemies, same strike/nightfall structure, visit xur on the weekend, etc. put in the hours until you can do the raid. It’s the 6th iteration of the game in 3 years, the 6th time leveling up, it’s getting rather tiresome at this point

Saving money isn’t a disease. A handful of games including BF1 were nearly half off during last year’s e3 sales. Free option to cancel right up until release. You’d have to be a bit slow to not take savings with a free option to get out
30% off. Free to cancel prior to shipping. If I take shipment I can play for a couple weeks and get most of my money back from EB trade in. Pre-ordering is a steal in my opinion, and I’ll continue to do it with all games.
The internet and journalists made up their mind months ago. No gameplay footage thus it must be terrible. Turns out the gameplay trailers came out and looked great. Now we are moving on to facial animations as a basis for a good game. I mean.. the animations are terrible, but that can't ruin a whole game
