PC gamed for a long time
- I don’t miss the constant nagging idea that I should upgrade my video card
- I love my big tv speakers couch and wireless controller
- Online performance on the big MP games seems to be given more care on console
For those 3 reasons I’m happy to miss out on the graphics boost
I don't see any hate due to it being popular. I see a whole bunch gamers disappointed because so much potential is sitting there ready to be tapped. A bit more lore, content, and variety, and all my friends are back in. The only thing we hate is the wait for this game to realize its own potential.
Except that he very clearly outlined how long it takes to run across both maps – does anybody watch videos these days before commenting on them?? Lol
@kosher, yes but he specifically said in the video that GTA 5 is not a good comparison. Did you watch? Both Fallout and The Division do have underground levels and indoor environments, so i think the comparison is a pretty good estimate and gives people an idea that at least the Division map isn't tiny. Which is good news
Fallout and Division both have no vehicles and subterranean areas
Wow, same size as Fallout 4 map – that is great news
@below - Thanks!
I'm starting with the demo..
Why are there so many articles on this lately? Everyone knows why Destiny did not live up to its potential it's the most documented topic on the internet
Yup, I'm up on all the info. Just think the 12 skills look bland. Half the one tree is shields. Half the other tree is healing. And half the third tree is bombs between the sticky and seeker. You call that fun and interesting? I think the realistic setting is hampering some areas of the game, it's too bad the gameplay is great and runs smooth
Dark zone was something fresh and fun. But I found the selection of skills a bit bland, and I also shot about 1000 thugs with hoodies, I hope there’s more variety in the full game
What do you do in co-op? (I haven’t played the game at all). Do you have to replay the same areas on repeat? I heard the campaign is short so I’m curious about the longevity of the game in general. And how does it look on console because the PC footage in the article looks amazing! Thanks!
I’ve never seen so much pride over a silver medal =)
I’m already excited for the next consoles because these ones are known to be a bit weak out of the gate, hope they bring out the big guns in a few years and charge closer to 500 for better quality
Yes it does need some sort of lore to give the world a sense of purpose and tell us what we are doing there and what the point of it all is
Needs a lot more content, varying missions, and a story, and 4 player fireteams, and then I’m back in
Never played a game where different attribute points changes the playstyle so drastically. Am I a sneaky assassin, an intelligent energy weapon modder who eats corpses, or a fist fighter who relies on critical hits? Crafting has added purpose to all the garbage lying around the wasteland. Easily my game of the year 2015.
You only play a game if it’s PS4 Exclusive? So you haven’t played the witcher, fallout, battlefield, etc? Umm, okay, to each his own
Would like to get a gaming rig, but a few too many questions on where VR and 4k gaming are headed, and trying to get my friends to make the jump will be tough. Curious – what are people using for display? I like my TV and stereo, can I use 1080p plasma, or is that severely capping myself? Will 4k TVs have good enough refresh rate for gaming? And can I use wireless gamepad instead of wired via usb, or does that introduce lag? Thanks for any input!
How is it pointless? It’s actually very relevant. The games are extremely similar, and the mmo-rpg-shared-world-shooter is new in the console space. So if The Division can bring some amazing features to the table, then the pressure is on Bungie to bring the same set of features. I’m sure The Division learned a ton from Bungie’s original release of Destiny, and The Division is a better game for it. It’s healthy competition, so what’s the problem? Competition is good for gamers
Bungie is definitely watching. After the division beta, I’m already wondering why I have to go to orbit every single time I finish a mission or start a new one in Destiny. And if The Division figures out raid matchmaking for the masses, you’d better believe Bungie is going to hear about it. These are just examples off the top of my head, if the Division is a huge success and the player base becomes used to some features Destiny could use, then yes the heat will be on Bungie for Destiny 2. ...
Do you have input lag when using Bluetooth? And is your frame rate capped by your TV?
