Saying the PS3 "dominates" in Europe is quite the stretch. All the reliable European data I have seen puts those two consoles fairly close in sales.

Exclusives are just like any other kind of game, I usually only truly love about 20% of those that are released.

So if 10 exclusives are released in a year I usually only love about 2 of them.

The thing is, there are so many more multiplatform games released in a year than exclusives. So if 100 multiplatform games are released in a given year I will probably like about 20 of them.

In reality I will usually not be able to afford all the gam...

Well, the only problem is that it makes you do an installation and then it still doesn't run as smooth as the 360 version. Go read the eurogamer comparison.

"Technically there is not much of a case for any claims of being "definitive"

Ok I just read the comparison and the first thing I have to say is that I am pleased with the way the PS3 version turned out. After playing the demo I was worried that the PS3 version would be plagued with screen tearing and a very inconsistent frame rate. Thankfully they made the right decisions and the capped the frame rate and enabled vsync. This not only gets rid of the ugly screen tearing, but it also avoids the wide swings in the frame rate, making it feel smoother overall.

People keep saying it is superior, but is that even the case? The PS3 version has some advantages and disadvantages compared to the other versions.

It is all on one disc, but it has a hefty installation.

It has all the downloadable content, but at the end of the day it is still the same content PC and 360 gamers already got to play.

And while Bioware claimed it was going to be the best looking version and some sites mindlessly parrot that cl...

There are Wii fanboys, but they act so rational and fair that you almost don't take them for fanboys.

In my opinion PS3 fanboys are the worst, followed next by the 360 and PC fanboys, and finally the Wii fanboys.

Fanboys always say things like that.

"Oh I happen to worship everything Nintendo puts out, but that's just because they make the best stuff so I am definitely not a fanboy".

Fanboys don't realize that it is their fanboyism that leads them to convince themselves that most of the good games are found on one platform. In truth there are good games found on all platforms.

I hope that is true.

In that first shot it looks like the shadows in the retail version are messing up Miranda's face even more than in the demo version. Why would they do that?

As far as the screen tearing and framerate I was a bit disappointed with the demo in that respect and I will wait for analysis to be run on it.

I'm glad that everyone here recognizes that each person has different tastes. Not everybody is going to like the same things.

You sound like the typical America basher. Lame.

But I'll answer you anyway.

The 360 never had a 54% failure rate.

Nope, I have only ever owned one 360. Nobody that I know has bought more than one either.

Yes, there are some great exclusives that I love such as Halo Reach, Alan Wake, Lost Odyssey, Fable 3, Gears of War 1 and 2, to name a few.

The dvd player has done just fine. I don't use it to p...

A good game is a good game. I am tired of ignorant people acting like exclusives have some magical quality that makes them better than everything else. In reality there are far more multiplats I love this gen than exclusives. I am not saying exclusives are bad, just that many of them are way overhyped and not as good as many multiplats.

All I know is I compared the demos myself and the PS3 version was clearly inferior. It ran rougher and had screen tearing. The 360 version was the better running version.

I'm impressed... I mean it looks quite good to me... but I do have to say that I think the new Tomb Raider looks just as good. http://www.gameinformer.com...

@ SnakeMustDie

It is illogical to say you don't think it will be as powerful as the PS3 but that you think it will be as powerful as the 360. It's illogical because the PS3 and 360 are basically equally powerful. Developers have said it over and over, the designer of both CPUs said it, and the games show it.

You mean like most games? Most of them do the facial capture separate from the body capture.

I've watched the videos of the making of Uncharted 2 and if I remember correctly they capture the body motion at the same time as recording the vocal performance, but they do the facial animation separately.

So LA Noire is no different than other games in doing the facial capture and body capture separately, it's just much, much better when it comes to captur...

LA Noire is using new technology and looks the most realistic by far. You can see every subtle detail of emotion played out on the characters' faces.

For using the traditional approach Uncharted looks very good. The problem is, they record the voice performance and the body motion together, but they do the face animation separately.

It's true that LA Noire does the motion capture for the body separate from the detailed capture of the face movements ...
