"Capcom's annual net income is at its lowest since 2010, the publisher revealed today in its annual financial report.
The report blamed the poor performance on weak sales of the DMC reboot, MegaMan Universe and Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor..."
Just finished the demo:
Pros
-Best looking unreal engine game yet
-Story is very interesting
-Cut scenes are well done
Cons
-Fighting to much like heavenly sword
-Movement is cumbersome
-Platforming very simplistic and Way too automated, very often I was pointing in the wrong direction yet Monkey makes the correct jump.
-Another platforming problem is that the environment interactivity is not ...
@rdgneoz3
Sorry, I was to full of rant to pay attention, TGS was a big downer for me I had high hopes for it, but it was full of disappointing news, the DMC tragedy, VC3 on the PSP (they already have the Canvas engine on the PS3), Sony showing off multiplatform games.
@Alpha-Male22
The handhelds are may source of JRPG fix right now, but don’t match the scale of an HD game. Almost every other genre is well covered on the PS3, a lot of AAA FPS, Action/Advent...
At least MS cater to their fan base and make sure it's happy and satisfied, Sony has a big core of JRPG fans that only get maybe one decent game an year.
So far the only games rating over 8 are Folklore, Valkuria Chronicles, FF13 and Demon Soles. And to understand the size of this fan base just look at the sales of DS and VC, they are almost at 1m despite having almost 0 advertizing.
Another interesting thing is that JRPG fans in the west outnumber th...
Spot on list, and finally some love for FF6.
IMOO Suikoden 1&2 are in same class as CT &FF6, the problem is it got degraded after that. This game with Grandia and Breath of Fire were forgotten and ignored.
The good news is the MegaTen series is steadily improving; Atlus are the best JRPG makers in the past 5 years, Level5 second.
Level5 made Dragon Quest 8&9, if they bring the same gameplay level to this stunning looking game it will be an all-time classic.
Plus a lot of RPGs have become too serious and dark, it will be nice to play one with a lighter tone for a change.
You can notice the improved light and shadow effects that were hardly there in FF13, environment a bit more detailed, and character movement a bit smother.
For an extra 150$ you can get guys from Wal-Mart (or is it Best Buy?) to set it up for you,
I think the PSN is best place for casual move games, you can build your own set of games instead of buying an arbitrary minigame collection.
So far Tumble and Echocrome are a must; Kung Fu Live is Day 1.
It's been a long time since I looked at an RPG and felt like I really want to just take my time and explore the world.
Beautiful, graceful and charming.
Ha! Now I can spot HHG articles just from the headline.
Not saying he's good or bad, just predictable now.
If it's an official translation from Atlus then we can take this as a confirmation of a western release.
Stupid decision to go exclusive, they will miss out on 30k in sales.
"The Move controller really showed its potential when we had to shoot a far-off enemy sniper, as it offered more instantaneous precision targeting than a regular analog stick"
This is good news for a guy like me with big shaky thumbs.
They concluded with this:
"...we didn't really miss the DualShock while playing"
I was underwhelmed by Sony in TGS, most games we know about, and presented a lot of multiplatform games, its lame when MS do it, still lame when Sony do it.
Yoshida talked about Ms spending on Japanese games. They are all Kinect games, but from MS track record I suspect it's only to get people in, and then Microsoft will abandon support like they abandoned their initial RPG push.
There was a discussion about the best cell shading and Ni Nu Kuni the other day, everyone totally forgot about this one.
Looks great and maybe a sleeper hit.
Lightning returns! So this is a direct sequel?
Even from the indirect footage the game looks much better than FF13.
And it seems it retains the same battle system with some modifications.
I wish they would try making an HD RPG. Platinum Games have become the best Japanese devs recently.
Pleas yes, it’s the true successor to DMC, like Lost Odyssey is the true successor to FF.
A DLC being the second best announcement in TGS10 speaks volumes about the success of the event.
One or 2 choices belong in the worst announcement category.
The show was mostly about presenting previously reveled games. And confirming rumored releases.
