As long as the game makes a profit, and means that a sequel is possible, then I don't care about how much a game sells on top of that. I mean it's nice to see good games do well though.
As long as MS license Blu-Ray, they shouldn't be at a disadvantage because they can use multiple layers. If you don't license it, you are only allowed to use a single layer (25GB), like on the Wii U.
1.5 million?!? WTF!?
It was actually ok, better than FF13 in many ways, but I'm really surprised at this number.
Crytek are probably saying this because none of the companies want to distribute the game for free, so even if it is free to play, it would take up space on the PS Store and XBLM, and it would take up bandwidth. And Sony charge publishers for the bandwidth usage of their games, and Microsoft do a similar thing I believe in some way.
Hopefully PS4 , and hopefully a new IP
Maybe bath salts.
I wish I had enough money to do a hostile takeover at Squeenix, Wada is such an idiot. It's literally like we're saying, "Here take our money" and he's replying, "No thanks".
I watched all of them, I like the fact that they are now more unique, but I still don't like that the first section is basically the same, with green, blue or red coloring.
One thing I will say is, and what probably most people who didn't like the original endings didn't like, is that you play the entire game with destruction of the reapers in mind if you're playing as a good guy (i.e. red ending), and control being the bad option. But at the end they take awa...
@venom - yeah I know that, I mean if I'm downloading a large file and I know it will take a very long time, I'd rather switch it off before the download finishes and let it download at another time, for example when I'm playing a different game. I dunno if that makes sense.
A new console generation has never meant just improved graphical capability, there have always been other improvements.
All they have to do is not change the core mechanics. Obviously it will damage the game if you change it completely and try and make it more westernised like FF13, but if you keep the gameplay exactly the same, but improve graphics and add voice acting, it would be absolutely fine.
Best thing about this update is the timed shut down thing. Sometimes I want my console to shutdown after downloading for a while, but I don't know how long it will take, so rather than leave it on all day, I'd prefer it if I let it download for a couple of hours here and there.
I have to agree, if it had the second circle pad, I would definitely consider buying. Without it, I see this as a waste of money when Nintendo eventually does a revision with the second circle pad, most likely next year.
@Hisiru - I don't understand why anyone would count multiplatform games as having any worth in the launch line up. Exclusives are what matter and differentiate a system.
Why would anyone buy a new console, for a game that is already available for their PS3 or Xbox 360? You might but 99% of people probably won't. I just don't get why Nintendo fanboys can't understand that simple concept?
I personally think that the only hope that Nintendo has for getting casuals to upgrade to a Wii U is news coverage when the console is released. If the casuals see it on the news, and the news says it is the next console, and they do big features on it, then they might get some more casual owners. Other than that, I can't see many casual gamers upgrading at all.
Can I just ask, how in the hell is 8x as powerful as an Xbox 360 NOT very powerful? 8 times as powerful is an incredible upgrade, and more than enough imo.
Only thing I didn't like about the document is the suggestion that you might need glasses for the AR. Glasses are always annoying.
I'll take discounts and free games over features that I will almost never use any day.
GamesCom and TGS are region-specific events for the most part. Not going to these events shows a lack of commitment from the publishers, or a lack of funds (talking about publishers in general). MS seems to be giving up on Japan which is a major problem, because they won't get much Japanese support next gen. Unless of course they spend over the odds buying exclusives in the first few years like they did this gen, and forgetting about core gamers towards the end.
Let's be honest guys, TheMART was a cut above the rest. :p
