Actually it is very possible, because it is the holiday season now. November is the biggest month for game/console sales, and we could probably even see a bigger sales gap than 150k.
Sell through rate for the game was pretty high, but seems like they didn't even bother shipping many copies.
Most likely the "exciting" news is that the game will be coming to PS3 same date as PC and Xbox versions. Because at the moment it is coming 3 weeks later.
I'd say they haven't abandoned the hardcore, and I don't think they'll ever want to, but from here on out, casual seems like their main focus. So we'll probably start seeing more casual games e.g. Lips, You're in the Movies etc. and less hardcore titles per year.
OMG that sucks so bad for Xbox 360 only owners in Japan.
No read the last bit of the article, says that you need new peripheral unfortunately. :( Sucks for existing owners though.
$350 is a decent price imo, yeah you could get a cheaper HDD and swap it out, but the price isn't as over inflated as you'd expect.
@HHG - I understand your anger towards Split-screen, and I actually was surprised that they called you out specifically in their post, but you should try and keep the cursing to a minimum. You lose people's respect very quickly, so just keep it on the level next time please.
But regarding split-screen, their rumor didn't even confirm that the game would be made, so it wasn't very good. Whereas HHG caught the rumor about Dreamcast on PSN AGES ago, so whether you love or hate him, ...
Famitsu was a little inaccurate this week, they showed PSP as 39k, when it's at 33k. Also interesting to see PS3 still selling more than the Wii, thought it would have been selling less by now.
Double standard fanboys aren't gonna complain about this, when they complained about MGS4. I'm happy if a game has more cutscene, because it means the game's story is actually good enough to be able to do that.
Please don't give this guy hits, Bruce "50 year old xbox fanboy" Everiss is notorious for having is head so up MS' ass, he can't even see the truth. This story is as bad as those Blu-Ray is doomed articles which come around every month or so.
It's Eurogamer, nobody cares what score they give to PS3 exclusives. R&C will be amazing as always, I'm getting it for sure.
Lol, he is complaining about climbing, in a game that is all about climbing. That's like complaining about having to shoot a gun in COD4. LMAO, ah fanboys these days, they're getting dumber and dumber...
360 version seems to have better shadows, but they look pretty much identical in every other way. Really wouldn't matter unless you did a side-by-side comparison.
"sad bastard"
Lol.
I reckon PS3 will eventually go below Wii again, but as soon as FF13 comes out, there will be a big boost in PS3 sales. Still I always prefer Media Create numbers as they tend to be more accurate imo.
@1.2 - But Resi is made by Japanese developers, and has made a name for itself in Japan. Plus it more than likely got more advertising in Japan because of this. I remember someone on N4G saying they had seen one TV commercial for Uncharted 2 in Japan.
I'm installing it, don't really care any more. I've got over 200GB free, so whatever.
@1.12 - Thanks for the reply. I understand with basketball, and also i was thinking Natal would work well for a dance game e.g. DDR, but I really can't imagine playing a core title with Natal. For example shooters, I can only see on the rail shooters working. Or for hack n slash, I don't see how that would work at all.
If they come up with some way where you use the controller with the camera, then it may work well. But then it risks becoming gimmicky, well you see I am very unsu...
@1.5 - Again, nobody ever mentions that there are more Xbox 360's in US when talking about sales right? So Forza 3 sold 15k pn the first day, then if GT5 sells more than 45k on the first day, you really have no reason to complain about "more PS3s being sold."
Why do you think more PS3s have been sold? Because Japanese gamers know that the games they want will be released on PS3. And one of those titles is GT5, whose tagline is the "real driving simulator." And...
