Definitely worth getting at this price, it's a great game, and pretty long. Just that price tag was a little off putting, but for the amount of gameplay, $20 was actually pretty worth it.
OMG, I was just talking about Tiberian Sun the other day, definitely gonna download this!!!
Not cool Squeenix, not cool...
LMAO @ all the fanboys in this thread. PS3 is hacked, but it is pretty useless at the moment, and will be for the coming months.
Visually, not much can even compare to KZ2 and Uncharted 2, but at least it's a major improvement over Halo 3 which imo was not enough of an improvement over Halo 2.
World exclusive implies a really good announcement. I don't think they would say something like that for an MGS4 trophy patch or some DLC.
I can tell I won't like it, so I'll steer clear because I didn't like Fable 2.
As I said a few weeks ago, Mass Effect 2 did shift a few more units, but it's not the huge system seller that everyone seemed to think it would be. Great sales for ME2 though, glad that more people bought it than the last one.
Same combat controls? That's retarded, would you give less points to Tekken if it had the same controls? or Street Fighter?
Very stupid reason to dock points. But either way, a great score for an undoubtedly great game.
I haven't played a split-screen game in ages, hope it doesn't affect the graphics.
"Jeanne d'Arc - 0.21 million copies worldwide"
Now I feel sad :(, this game is amazing, buy it people!
PC, yes.
Consoles, probably not, but there's hope.
Good score, game is too difficult for me :(. People always complain about the gfx, but they are very good for such a huge scale game, they just aren't very unique.
I'd personally give it a little higher maybe 8.5, but I still love this game despite it's issues. Graphically it isn't amazing, but the gameplay is fantastic, and I'm so glad there is going to be a sequel.
@Blaze - Yeah I wouldn't go by VGC on that one because:
1. They are only tracking US numbers for a few weeks after release and no other territories.
2. The game released when the PS3 had only been released for 4 months in America, and barely 1 month in EU. Meaning the install base was significantly low.
3. It was a bad port from the Xbox/PC version according to many people. I wouldn't know cos I got it for PC at that point.
I'm ~80% sure tha...
No matter how many times they say it, I still think it's going to come to PS3. There are a lot of Splinter Cell fans on PlayStation, and cutting them out is just stupid in terms of business.
Whatever, I have a 360 and a decent PC so I can play the game when it releases thankfully.
@1.9 - Yeah, that's the only problem, I'm sure they could make up a story if they wanted to though :)
@1.12 - I hate SRPGs (tried Disgaea and FF Tactics), Jeanne D'Arc is the only one I actually liked, and not only liked, but I think it is one of the best PSP games (top 5) I've played.
If this is Jeanne D'Arc 2 I'd be ecstatic. The first one was by far the best handheld game I've played.
MGS4 took me 17 hours to finish first time around, and there wasn't that many cutscenes. Well, no more than EVERY other MGS game, the only extended cutscenes were the beginning and end ones, that's it.
In all honesty, yes Fable 3 is not a graphical powerhouse, and i won't be getting it cos Molyneux always over-promises, but saying it looks like a PS2 game is an over-exaggeration. Obviously this game isn't complete, so it wouldn't look great. But they are using the Fable 2 engine, so it won't look any worse than Fable 2, and will most likely look a little better.
When I watched the trailer, I was actually pretty impressed by the environments, characters didn't look too great tho...
