JRPGs are their own genre, WRPGs are their own genre. I will always love JRPGs, and the big franchises sell phenomenally well worldwide. WRPGs will always have to prove themselves, as they are always different from each other, and there is no set formula. And with WRPGs, even the big franchises most of the time don't sell extremely well worldwide.

They just haven't announced anything yet, but there will be some great games in Q2 and Q3 for PS3 and 360.

Stupid title, could have at least had "Pre-Natal..."

Anyway nice to see that not everyone is following Natal like the blind sheep, I've been waiting for MS to show a hardcore game on Natal since it's announcement, at least the Arc showed possible hardcore implementation with the tech demo!

I'm actually only considering getting an Arc because I already have a PSEye, and also so that I can get rid of my Wii, which has been collecting dust (literally) for almo...

OK, Crackdown 2 still hasn't OFFICIALLY been delayed, these guys are making an assumption based on something Peter Molyneux said. He said there will be a secret E3 announcement for Crackdown 2 (not so secret anymore), but that doesn't mean the game has been delayed. For all we know, it could simply be some DLC for the game (maybe they'll have some Fable 3 skins?)

So people that are looking forward to this game (not one of my purchases for 2010), DON'T freak out just yet, wait for...

No he's right, his source is media create, although they haven't been tracking the numbers for a few weeks. It sold ~1.5 million in the first week and then about 300k in the next few weeks. Then it has been incredibly slow so it might have sold 2 million by now, but Media Create and Famitsu only report numbers for Top 10 games, and it hasn't been in the top 10 for ages.

However, this is the same with every FF game in Japan, it sells incredibly well straight away, and then sales d...

@deadreckoning666 - It's not Sony's choice, this is the price that GT has put on GTTV on the PSN episodes. You can still watch the episodes in HD on Gametrailers.

Tbh, this is MAJOR damage control on Valve's part. Gabe made an ignorant comment that alienated the entire PS3 community, and he expected the PS3 to fail. But now it's selling extremely well, and that community has grown to over 33 million gamers, and PS3 exclusives are getting a lot of attention, meaning even more sales for PS3 systems in the future.

Now they are trying to build bridges, and it's a start, just make sure Gabe learns to STFU from now on and the PS3 community will ...

It's not even that good, I actually prefer the original music.

Are you by any chance not American? Cos he knows that Europeans don't like Twisted Metal (for example, I don't), but God of War started with him, and it is one of the best game series ever.

Still, doesn't mean that his word = law, just that he has some credibility, and some room to talk sh*t in most gamers' eyes.

@rocklee - I've tried to explain that many many times, if a book publisher can calculate how many books, or DVDs they have sold, why can't you do the same with consoles?

But it's futile, some people just don't get it, so don't bother. They just don't see the difference between sell-through and sell-in. And what's more stupid is that third parties can do it (Media Create, Famitsu, NPD, GFK, Chart-track), yet people seem to think Sony and Nintendo can't track sales of their own har...

Exactly madmonkey, numbers from all three of the console makers do not match up with these. You really think that if MS was winning worldwide they wouldn't be boasting about it? PS3 has beat the 360 worldwide every year since release. That is a cold hard fact.

Disagree all you want, it's true.

Lot of fanboy damage control in this thread haha. Don't worry fanboys, this game will sell like crazy, it is a true system seller. And it will be the BEST racing game ever made until GT6 releases, it's Polyphony Digital and Sony for God's sake, they do not skimp on quality!

OH MY GOD, just watched the GTTV episode (anyone else keep skipping to the GOW3 bits? lol), it lucks f***ing amazing. HHG was right, this is almost like the CG that they showed at E3 a couple of years ago.

CANNOT WAIT, Geoff looked super happy after playing it, which only bodes well for PS3 gamers. I don't think I've ever been so happy that I have a PS3, can't stop smiling!!!!!

Most of these are true, but still the game has one of the best stories ever written. David Cage did mention that a lot of content had to be cut, that could explain these plot holes. Personally, gotta be honest, I didn't even notice any of them through my play through.

I just looked at the story as a whole, maybe they though that plot hole number 1 could serve as a sense of dramatic irony.

Oh btw, MAJOR spoilers in the article.

Woah if true, major drawback for Natal. 100 to 200 Euros is pretty expensive, you can get a Arcade 360 for £99 in UK now.

@1.5 - You serious? That sounds pretty cool, so you basically unlocked achievements in the demo and they unlocked when you started the actual game.

That puzzle game sounds good, kinda like brain training. Smashbreak seems like table tennis meets breakout.

I hope this means that Naughty Dog can hire more people, and work on two IPs at a time, like Insomniac. Say what you want about Resistance and Ratchet, but that is the perfect way to make games. Ratchet caters to the younger audience and fans of the series, meaning next gen when they are older they will remember Insomniac. And Resistance caters to older gamers now.

Naughty Dog could do the same with Jak & Daxter and Uncharted, and I hope to God they do because I really want a...
