I dunno. I know a fair few people who are ludicrously excited about Cataclysm.
WoW's going to get bigger again, but it'll be awhile, and the column also ignores a lot of the really interesting non-commercial MMOs like Wurm Online and Love. There's a lot of cool stuff happening in the genre, just not necessarily from the big boys.
An Xbox 360 and a TV?
I'm still waiting to see what's coming on the multiplayer front.
Sounds good to me, as long as it wasn't an entirely pointless "home" environment and there was actually stuff to do there. A couple of missions set inside your own ship would be awesome.
Sounds interesting. I prefer more constructive forms of magic in games rather than simply picking "fireball" from a list, myself - actually combining different aspects of a spell to get the effect you want. I doubt that's what he means here, but...
Fair point. The off-board controls were *terrible* and it's not something you'd think would be that hard to do.
I don't really care about the visuals that much either - it looks good, and the screens presumably have some of the game's visual effects on them that look better in motion - but as they've released these screens, it kinda makes me wonder.
It can, but I think there'll be an issue as more expansions come out. The more you release, the more intimidating it's going to be for new players to come in, even with Cataclysm revamping all the original areas.
Much as Skate 3's going to be wonderful, those screens don't really look great :|
Disappointing. Was going to give this a try when I got time :(
I know. Seems like such a long time :|
On the plus side, that free content for Champions is nice.
There are people who aren't planning on buying Splinter Cell: Conviction? Heresy.
Yeah, okay, that sounds awesome. Loving the idea of actual investigative work, and of cruising around an authentic 1940s LA.
Macs aren't for games. They're fashion accessories you can sit near while sipping expensive imported coffee so that everyone nearby can see how elite you are.
Bad news for those actually wanting to try this beta on Mac, mind you :/
They're releasing art for a DLC pack that came out a few days ago?
I'm still staggered by how good these screenshots look. So beautiful.
Different developer, but yeah, think it's made up of some of the same guys. And good point - making sure it's not frustrating or unfairly hard is important, I suppose.
I don't know if I'm happy about this or not. Annoying as scavenging is, I do love the sense of tension you get when you have to do it.
Sounds like it deserves it, though. That review paints a pretty stunning picture.
Haha, yeah, if it's that emotionally intensive it might be a bit much for you :p
You know, I can kind of understand the reasoning, but I'm really not sure I like it :/
